This is a gift for my nephew. I hope he likes I love mine.

This little speaker was good, but not at all what I was looking for. I needed something for my car to let me stay hands free. The sales person recommended it to me as an option. I'm glad I tried it, but it just wasn't working for me.

I love this speaker, just wish it could be turned up louder than it does.

Bought a second one, mine was always being borrowed.

I purchased this as an extension for my laptop sound system. I was told by the store clerk that it would match to my laptop's bluetooth. So far I have tried to sync it to my laptop and my iphone 11 to no avail. The instructions say to call Altec Lansing and not to return it to the store from which purchased. I have yet to call Altec Lansing so I cannot recommend/not recommend this product. I believe a product should operate as advertised and so far this product has not delivered.

Convenient size and nice to have for hiking, studying, or laying by yourself at the beach or park. Not the best bass or EQ setup. Returned it for a Bose speaker.

For the price, this Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL speaker will get the job done. It is waterproof, it floats, will survive drops on concrete, and clips onto a backpack. When I first turned it on, it immediately went into pairing mode. A small LED in the middle of the two speakers will blink. Pairing with my iPhone was very quick. Keep it within the 30ft wireless range, best if it's 15ft, to ensure a clear connection. Once connected, I was able to control its volume from my phone or use the buttons directly on top of the speaker. Bass comes from the right speaker and the mids and highs come from the left. Clarity and volume are pretty good until you hit about 75% of the total volume it is capable of producing. Once you go beyond that, the audio becomes somewhat distorted. This is to be expected for speakers in this price range, I have tried about a dozen of them. Since the Baby Boom XL are priced so economically, I would consider getting two of them. This speaker can connect to another one of itself to get twice the audio listening experience. One of these speakers would work well if you do a fair amount of presentations and your tablet speaker won't do the job. You could set the speaker off to the side and cover a meeting room with sound. I like how thin the speaker is and it fits nicely inside of my bag or clips onto a backpack. It can last for about six hours and charging time is about two hours and ten minutes. It comes with a micro USB charging cable, but you will need to have a USB wall charger to power it up.

A decent speaker for the sale price. Sound quality is what you would expect. Main disappointment is the volume, not very load. If the system would allow me I’d give it 3.5 stars.

The battery dies too quickly. It will often shut off during my workouts. The only way it stays on is to keep it plugged in.

The sound is great on this item. Battery was said to last up to 6 hours but I have only gotten 3 hours at best. Would not recommend.

The sound quality wasn't the best. You only hear bass no words through the speaker. Didn't like the quality of the speaker itself.

It’s a nice little speaker. Sounds pretty good. Light weight. My only con is the battery life is only 4 or 5 hours and takes a long time to charge.

Bought as a gift for daughter. She liked but said not enough bass. Went back and got next size up. Good sound just no bass!

Decent speaker for bathroom but it didn’t last long. I guess the waterproof feature was an exaggeration

It looks great but could never get it to connect to my echo show. Perhaps operator error?

U guys need to make them a little louder. Even if it's the original or ur new baby boom one needs to be a little louder I think.
