Speaker has great sound and good battery life. Appears to be very durable.

This speaker is great! It's extremely loud and has a crisp sound since it's a branch of JBL so you know it's of good quality. As of water proof my girlfriend spilled water all over it and it was if like water never landed on it. The speaker still works great but I have yet to put it fully in water. I highly recommend it for the beach since it is also sand proof. Overall great speaker

I bought this over two years ago. Battery still holds great. I’m not an audiophile, but I think it sounds good. Bought to take outdoors camping and on kayaking trips. The fact that it floats is a huge plus!

Bought this solely to attach to the cross member inside my side-by-side. Works great but I need another one because it's perfect by the pool and to take camping. Left it out in a rain storm and it fired right up the next day with no problems. You don't need your phone to scroll thru your playlist, the buttons on the device are already setup to do that remotely. Also charged my iPad with this thing while hiking in Colorado. The folks who made this thought of almost everything, just wish the charge cord used the same as the iPhone. Other than that I have yet to find a fault. Bought this for myself for Father's Day. Asking Santa for a second one. Would have given it 4.5 stars but that wasn't an option. A little more bass would have earned it a five star review.

I'm totally impressed with the the Boom Jacket 2...it is the perfect blend of toughness, sound quality and functionality. Also, it's ability to charge another device has come in handy on more than one occasion...although I'm a bit confused by the NFC related function called...I can't remember exactly what it's called... something like NFC Check In? I think it has something to do with expediting airport check in. Anyway, it's a fairly expensive device but well worth the money. Oh, there is a downloadable app that is full of nice features and hardware for mounting the speaker on a bicycle.

Treated myself to 2 of these on Black Friday. Fantastic sound from a small package. At the last minute I realized we didn't have background music for our company luncheon so I paired the two together and they filled a large ballroom. Several people commented on the amazing sound. Would buy Altec again!

Portable, easy to pair and Altec quality. Not a boom box just a very well designed portable speaker. Great sound do not expect strong bass. Well defined sound , good quality, this speaker lives in my shower and I listen to the news and music steamed up from my phone, definitely a great product!

Great bluetooth connection and stereo sound. I use it in my bedroom and while hanging outside. Good volume and I don't worry about it getting a little dusty. Can't wait to see it float!

One of the best bluetooth speakers I bought great sound speakers on front and back. Battery last well enough took it to a park from 8am to 10pm and still going. Plus you can charge any phone too. Waterproof and shockproof too. I mounted it on bike and it was awsome. It was pricy but we'll worth it. I just hope I don't have issues later but so far great. Will keep posting more later if any issues. Gave it 4 just incase any issues evolve but so far so good. Might change to a 5 later. Have not had a chance to drain battery yet. But it saids it 50 hour battery life. Have not had a chance to try vocal caller. I also use it with my apple tablet to watch movies great sound. I really recommend speaker. In my opinion it's great.

Bought 2 of these, one for pool deck, one for deck above pool. Both would be within 20 feet of each other and Bluetooth source. Individually they are great, waterproof, decent sound for a small speaker. Have left out in downpours with no issues. Even had one dropped in pool and came out playing. We'll get 3 or 4 days on a charge by the pool. Left at 4 stars because the directions and packaging say you can connect more than 1 at same time to Bluetooth source. Was not successful for me, or the customer service rep at Altec that I called. We could not get two working at same time, one would always disconnect the other. Was going to return one but decided to keep so we always have 1 charged for the pool.

This box can really put out some jams....seems to hold a charge and syncs up to devices fairly easily. These were all problems I was having with my previous speaker. I am looking forward to spring/summer and being able to listen to it outside.

I bought this amazing speaker with several thoughts in mind. I work construction and dust is just part of my life. This plays great sound so I can hear it above my tools and dust doesn't hurt it. Being water proof my wife and I also take it kayaking for some relaxing music played low on the water. I have absolutely no worries about it falling in. I like to put it in the water and blast the sound for the fishes to hear. Plus it cleans it out of my dust from work. I liked it so much I bought two. One for my daughter that paddle boards and sings in the shower.

you will not believe the sound this little dude makes! Great sound, waterproof, bluetooth and very compact.. what more could you ask for?

Probably the best portable speaker I have ever owned. I drive semi trucks and this works really well. It has fallen from the truck and has not even got any damage whatsoever and works great! Its really loud and crisp. Weatherproof.

I purchased this after reading several positive reviews online. I've been pleased so far with the sound and even more so with the battery life. I've used it a coupe of times while working in the yard and its lasted the entire time. I would certainly recommend for the price.

Perfect for my teenage son. He loves it. Good sound, great volume and he doesn't need to worry about dragging it around with him. It is waterproof, has rubber around the edges, etc. so it is quite durable. He has another Bluetooth speaker but it doesn't have the durability factor and he didn't take it along for fear of damaging it. Not a worry with this one. A couple added benefits are that it can also recharge his phone and with the II series two can be paired at the same time for true stereo sound. We bought two!

I like this speaker because of its durability and sound. I was hoping I would actually still be able to hear it when in the water, but I guess that's asking too much :) On the plus side, it does float! I was a little worried about testing that, but it does.

this is an outstanding little speaker! The sound is clear. The fact that you can pair it with Alexa or your phone opens up a world of music options. We love it so much that we bought one for our son!
