I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband and he uses it in his car and work sites (he's in construction). It has great sound and he can use it for hands free calling. It's durable and waterproof.

I bought two and they sound nice, but one has a static sound, when nothing is being played. Also, they are not easy to pair, at all and do not stay paired. That is the main reason that I upgraded, from the first Boom jackets, to these. I contacted Altec Lansing support and even gave them video evidence, but they still have not replied, with a solution, after weeks. I don't think they care about helping customers. After getting lucky, on pairing the two, they both play, but if you move one, not too far away, they become unpaired. The distance that I moved them apart from each other was well within the working distance. I was told, by support, to let the batteries run down all the way, recharge them and then they should stay paired, when moving them apart. I still have problems, with them. Maybe, after the batteries die, again, they will get even better. I don't know. Though, it will take a while for me to find out, because the batteries seem to last a very long time. Also, at one point, out of nowhere, I heard one speaker start to make a buzzing noise. I had to turn it off and pair it up, again. If you do want the Boom jackets, just get one and you will have 50% of the problem or, hopefully, get lucky and have no problems. They are rugged looking. I don't know how well they do, in the water, though. Fix the pairing issues, the static sound, and the random bussing noise and they get five stars. Giving two stars is beig generous. I could give one, by itself, four or five stars, maybe, but the pairing feature means that if they don't work together, they don't work 100%, correctly. It's almost summer and I want to get out and use them, TOGETHER. Right now, they defeat their own purpose.

The sound is crisp and clear. It is mountable and portable. You can take it with you and it is loud enough for outdoor fun. It is also perfect for indoor when you want to listen to music all over the house!

Got this for Christmas. I love it! Wanted a LOUD Bluetooth boombox. This box definitely delivers. Not only is it loud, it’s tough and durable. Battery seems to last a while as well.

Best part about this is you can use it for days and days without needing to charge. Sound quality is awesome and its plenty loud though I wish it could get louder. Definitely worth it.

Good speaker, links up via Bluetooth easily, sounds great.

Great sound for a small speaker, easy to connect (turn off Bluetooth on other nearby devices while initially connecting to make it easier), waterproof and floating,great for pool use.

This thing is awesome. The sound quality is amazing. The fact that it is waterproof is even better. It is heavier than some other Bluetooth Speakers, but I'm chalking that up to quality

This little speaker packs a surprising punch. It’s great for the beach, has already been dropped several times with no marks. Another great feature is the ability to charge your phone directly from the speaker.

Love this speaker! Packs a lot of sound for being so small. I like it cus it's durable and I can take it with on my many adventures like canoeing since it's waterproof. Easy to use

It has good sound and the durability and waterproof feature is solid, I only wish that it got a tad louder, and was able to sync up with my other Altec speakers, but other than that no complaints.

I have Three UE booms which are great portable speakers. I saw this one on Black Friday sale and picked it up. The sound is fantastic. As good if not better than the booms. Cant eval Battery life yet or water proofing. Will update when I can. Yes I would buy again.

My brother got me this for me since I play volleyball on the beach. It's convenient because of its size yet gives out a great sound. It's also nice that it's waterproof

Being on the pricey side I was reluctant to make this purchase. As it turned out these speakers are a decent value. The battery life is outstanding, durability outstanding, and the sound quality is decent.

My daughter had purchased one of the red Boom Jacket speakers for her boyfriend. I was really surprised at how good the sound quality was, and how easy it was to connect by Bluetooth to his cell phone. My wife told me that she wanted one for Christmas, and what color she wanted too! Imagine my surprise, when we opened presents, to find that my wife had bought me one too!!!. I realized why she was so particular about color, as she bought me a different color blue than the one I bought her. Since then I have gotten a tremendous amount of use out of my Boom Jacket speaker, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Bought this for my husband and he loves It! He use to have the older version of this one but ran it over with his jeep. They really are great speakers. He especially likes this one because it doesn't have that annoying voice when you turn it on or off.

This is an awesome speaker! Mounted it to my Waverunner since its waterproof and rugged. Its great to be able to charge my phone as well. Highly recommended!

Great sound. Clear. Good bass. Solid device and durable. Had the smaller version originally but the charger wimped out. So when I took it back I ended up going for this one. Much better sound.

Bought it for my girlfriend for Christmas and she still hasn't had to charge it. Definitely the best sound quality and no issues astound water yet.
