This speaker wasn't what most reviews I've came across had explained for the sound quality. Maybe I've became spoiled from starting off with the the JBL charge 2 speakers, which I regret selling them to get this, thinking I would get a little more while they were on sale. -The build quality is solid, though the rubber protective cover fills like it wants to roll of the plastic housing. The speakers are covered with a metal grill guard, and the ports have a thick rubber cover to give them a water tight seal -When you power on the unit, it doesn't yell at you "Powering on!, Welcome to Altec Lansing!", and "You are now pared, enjoy!", as loud as the MiniH20. I REALLY love the feature when you hold down the volume up or down button it skips the track, and if you press the power button (not hold) it will pause and play the music (something I wish JBL did with charge 2). This feature helped bypass the need to unlock my phone every time I wanted to skip songs. -Now for sound, the speakers are powerful but it's the enclosure that the they're in, is what I think, are hindering it's potential. Because of the purpose for what these were designed for, the speaker is a completely sealed unit to give it that water proof, dust proof capability, and therefore, prevents low ends from airing out to give some nice bass tones. It has a very punchy bass because of this, and the speaker drivers are very treble heavy, it's hard to get a good sound out of it if you sit and listen. The speakers also seem to project in a narrow path in front of it and not really fill the area it's in with sound. I found that part to be annoying since I use this at work and move around my desk, that's were I notice there was a sweet spot to hear them correctly. Even with an equalizer, I still couldn't get the right low's and mid's. -The speaker is great strictly for outdoor use, with some ok sound quality, that's able to charge your phone. It's also awesome to change tracks without getting your phone out in wet environments. Only good if you get it on sale, but for the sound, not worth the $200 price tag. Will be going with the JBL Charge 2+ instead.

good value for the price I paid during a limited time sale, but the cons are volume and bass is limited, sound only comes from the front side and connecting often takes several goes.

to few of buttons -- the + changes volume and skips to next song ALSO... it changes to easy, when u r still trying to turn up volume it skips to next playlist song....

I bought this speaker because we have a small Aztec we like. This one, however, compared to another brand speaker we have, just did not sound as good.

As a deal of the day it's OK. Good features, but not as full of a sound. If I would have paid full price I would have been disappointed.

Best buy sent me a used speaker. Other than that the speaker was probably really great but best buy is Lame!

Loved his speaker but only downside is the voice it makes when it connect, turns on, and shuts off

only worked for a few hours and then the speaker blew. was not even up loud

Major piece of junk. Horrible sound. Returned it for the Braven and never looked back.

Will come in handy for use on my oncoming overseas travel as an entertainment

Works great sounds great about a week into owning it, it would be fully charged or nearly full and it would randomly turn itself off while playing music, it wasn't turned up too loud or anything so it couldn't be the voltage going too low for it to stay on. Must of had something internally wrong when made or something because I never dropped or damaged it whatsoever

Works really well. No complaints there, battery life is questionable though

BOUGHT TO USE AT THE POOL. ITS OK BUT SOUND NOT SO GOOD

The speaker I purchased did not sound as good as the store demo unit.. The sound was not so crisp and crackled on some songs. It may been a defective unit but I did not take a chance on exchanging it for another of the same model.

I saw this item on sale for half price. Item was received quickly and no damage. The sound quality was poor at best with biggest deficiency in the bass. It sounded like a tin can and returned the item.
