Very durable, he forgot it on the roof of my car and the rubberized cover kept it on the roof of my car for 1.6 miles. Where we found it (in a ditch like 10 ft from the road) it had to have bounced off of my car that was doing anywhere from 30-40 mph at the time, and it still works like new!!
