The sound from the speakers were fine. Unfortunately, once I took it past 10 feet the sound blanked out. Found out that range depends on your structure and where the Bluetooth signal emanates from.

Purchased the following speaker for my husband as a Father’s Day gift. The connection is very spotty if the phone is less than a couple inches away.

This can get up to a decent volume, but it has noticeable distortion issues and doesn't hold charges very well. I charged this up one week and used for 8 hours over the space of 2 weeks. Then on one Monday, I get an hour out of it before the power button flashes signaling the battery is low. I cannot recommend this based on these issues.

There are times when my speaker is playing music and it sounds as if my speaker is blown. Pretty annoying.

Daughter does not think it is as durable and the sound is different, trouble connecting with Bluetooth at times

This speaker say it will reach up to 100 feet, but it wouldn’t go further then 7 feet

battery stopped working. tried to reset the system and it still did not work. great sound otherwise, but it did not last. I find out that others have had the same issue.

I always admired the Altec Bluetooth speakers via in-store displays over the years, but this unit kept cutting out while less than ten feet from the source. I would recommend looking elsewhere, perhaps at Ultimate Ears models of a similar price point.

Had to return it. Played music from my phone and every time someone would walk between my phone and speaker it would cut out. Disappointed. Got a Sony speaker instead. Works much better.

Not powerful enough to use outside. It starts distorting before it gets loud enough to hear. I guess Altec Lansing ain't what they used to be. I would not recommend.

we returned it. sound was mediocre. looks cool, but there are better units available in the same price range. We got a JBL.

Sounds great, BUT your phone can not be more the a foot away from the speaker. If it does, it loses bluetooth reception and gets completely static. Next time I'll step up and spend a little more and get a JBL.

I bought this speaker for my husband as a gift and was impressed with its sound quality. After about 6 months of owning it, my 2 yr old put it in the bathroom sink and turned the sink on.. it had running water over it for I don't even know how long and still works great!! This has happend again after the first incident and still works awesome!! We've owned it for over a yr now. I am impressed.

The speakers are waterproof and they do float but they rust if they stay wet too long. They’re pretty loud, the range is definitely not as advertised it’s more like half. The battery does last 20 hours but only if you listen to it about halfway volume up. If you go full volume the battery will last six hours. I’ve had three of these speakers but after a year and a half, two years tops they give out, the speaker begins to rattle, or the batteries no longer hold charge. Other brands seem to last longer.
