I didn't have big expectations, mostly just being better than my phone's speaker. It exceeded that by far! I've taken to using it for a speaker for my laptop and phone inside as well! Sound quality is excellent. Only "negative" is the battery life, which could be longer.

The bass physically makes the speaker bounce around because of the rubber. It is water proof sort of, and it is kind of loud. But for 40 dollars it is seriously not worth it.
