Wanted to purchase a Bluetooth speaker for my husband’s birthday and did not know about this brand at all until I saw it on display in store. Very disappointed that the color I wanted (blue) was sold out and I didn’t have time to order online or drive to another location. About two weeks went by and we were heading on vacation the next morning to the cabin and he wanted a more portable speaker we could use at the cabin and on our boat via Bluetooth (hence why the speaker would’ve made a great gift). I suggested we head to our closest Best Buy location to see what they had available in stock. Thankfully we were able to purchase this same speaker that I saw weeks before. It was in stock! He now brings it EVERYWHERE! Battery life is long and sound will not disappoint. Light enough for travel and easy carry but durable enough to withstand a little rough rides. Thank you!!! I've been using this speaker about 4 weeks and here's what I've noticed so far... Pros -battery life is fantastic! When fully charged this has lasted me 2-3 8hr days at work at a higher volume setting -silicone exterior case does a good job protecting the unit from scratches -the ability of the unit to float is great for out on the water. I've let it drop a few times into the water and it just kept going -Bluetooth range is excellent, at least 100ft Unfortunately that's where the pros end Cons -right out of the box the speaker had a very tinny and crackly sound -volume is not great for a speaker of this weight. (Probably because most of this speaker's weight is in batteries not drivers) - the silicone casing is attached with 8 push pin grommets and I've noticed 4 of the pins have already fallen out - the barrel plug for the charger had to be pulled slightly out of the speaker for it to actually charge - using the 4 buttons on top of the speaker to perform 8+ different tasks depending on how long they are held is not ideal - the unit has the same drivers on both sides which would be good in the center of the room but I find it is usually a waste of battery and sound in many applications as it is usually facing one direction Overall I would not recommend this product especially at $300. It has most of the ruggedness I was looking for but none of the sound quality or volume.

This speaker has pretty good sound quality and is very rugged. We have tossed it in the pool just to test its ability to be submerged and it kept right on playing music. The kids have dropped it off the deck and left it outside, and it still works great after 3 months of our abuse. The battery life is great, we just take it in to charge it every couple of nights. Battery does drain more quickly if you use it to charge to a phone, but that is a nice option to have.

The speaker is very durable and it sounds great. I love the Bluetooth feature and the battery lasts a while

Needed a good waterproof speaker to take on the boat, loud enough to hear over wind noise when running the boat and portable to take off boat to shore. This is a large speaker, supposedly it floats but didn't and won't test that feature,,,charge on Friday night, and have not run battery dead over weekend using all day long Saturday and Sunday. Loud enough to be heard , from anchored boat while on shore , can be heard easily when running the boat, has two "U" clamps to attach to my boat's T-Top frame, has speakers facing front and rear so covers whole boat area when placed in middle of T-Top. Power to spare,,,charged a couple iPhones easily and still let me play two days of radio without running out of a battery charge. Very nice sound...can't be beat!

This Altec Lansing super life jacket is amazing. The sound quality is phenomenal for such a small speaker package. It is certainly capable as advertised. I used it in the pool. Now it is waterproof yet sound isn't as good in the water which totally makes sense as the sound waves are pushing against water which is very dense. However, it can be thrown in the pool; we played water polo with it. It's tough as nails. It never stopped playing; MP3 bluetooth to the speaker and it was good to go. I actually bought a second one so I could try pairing the two for better sound. I have not tried that yet. The instructions are pretty clear on how to set it up. OH and I even use it at home on my computer desk. Just amazing sound quality.

Wanted a loud, rugged speaker for beach that had great battery life. This definitely fits the bill in all categories! Only thing is Bluetooth range could be better-if phone gets too far away it cuts in and out.

Amazing battery and sound quality also water proof

So this speaker is off the bat $300.00 dollars which is pretty expensive so you're expecting to hopefully get your money's worth. FOR THE MOST PART, you will be correct, but it does have issues right off the bat. This speaker lasts forever on a single charge, AS SO LONG as you don't charge anything from it (i.e. phones), or it will die real quickly. Another thing about charging phones on this device is it will not allow two phones (only tried with Apple iPhones) at the same time. Lastly the wall plug broke on the second day, it still works but one of the prongs that goes into the wall is wiggly. The speaker also has a Bluetooth pairing issue, sometimes you have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times in order for it to work (this was only tested on the newest versions of iOS and iPhones). Other then all the bad things the speaker operates well, is loud, but I'd go with JBL next time.

Had others that were not very load and low quality. This is load and clear with quality. Best on Market.

Freakishly long battery life. Charges other devices in a pinch. Really good sound. Actually waterproof, although I'm hesitant to test its' claim to positive buoyancy, because it's kinda heavy.

Love the battery life, quality of sound, and how loud it is. Love charging 2 phones on it at once if needed. And haven't tested the waterproof feature yet but it is exactly what we needed.

This may not be the loudest radio, but knowing that I don't have to stress about water, sand, snow, or dropping it, this radio is amazingly underrated. And it floats too. (Rinse and dry it after using at the beach or in salt water to prolong its life) The Super Life Jacket has pretty good sound base compared to its smaller counter parts and had decent clarity. Obviously when your in a space like the beach it may not sound like it's blasting, but who wants to be that jerk anyway. It's more than enough for you surrounding area & battery life is true to claims. Haven't used it to charge my phones while using it yet, but I'm sure it will be fine. For right now during winter it's my go to shower radio. I love it and I'm glad I purchased it. I got it on sale which made the purchase even more satisfying.

The Super Life Jacket Imw888 Portable Wireless Speaker is easy to setup and use. It produces good sound and reaches an acceptable volume. I would give it 5 stars if the sound quality was better like that of the Marshall Kilburn, but it works great and is very rugged.

If you are looking for the Toyota Camry of speakers look no further. I've taken this speaker on countless trips down the river where it has seen it's fair share of abuse. Dunk it under water and it's still happy to play your favorite song.

Excellent sound throughout the audio range. No real weakness in the bass, mids, or highs. Bass and midrange were especially good I think. Bluetooth link was totally reliable. Great battery life. Rubber cushioning allowed me to put this on the dash of our F-550 box van and have great sound on a non-stop trip from Anchorage to Seattle in April 2017. You will need an inverter to convert 12v cigarette lighter power into AC to run/charge this unit. I bought one at Walmart but never needed it on that three day trip from Anchorage to Seattle. Comes with a wall (120V) charger. Not a cheap unit, but if you can cover the cost I think most buyers will be quite pleased with this speaker.

Great speaker and very loud battery last for a long time

Chose this over the big UE Boom and definitely don't regret it. It is a little heavy but it delivers great sound and great bass. Battery life is incredible and the options are pretty cool too. Can use NFC, USB, BT, AUX, etc. I wish the instructions were more clear about the button shortcuts (had to look them up online) There is one weird thing I noticed ... the volume gets even louder than max when the charger is plugged in. But other than that no issues or complaints - I love it.

We just love this speaker. Before purchasing it we looked and listened to every speaker Best Buy carried. This by far exceeded the rest. I also liked others they carried but price point as well as sound and durability this speaker won out. It's very solid. You can take it anywhere without sorry of hurting this speaker. It's got little bumpers built into it for added protection. It is loud. We take it outside and play basketball while playing some tunes. Works great!
