Purchase the original about 11 months ago. Compared to every other speaker available at the time in the showroom floor, to my ears, it had the most accurate sound reproduction, not emphasizing the bass or treble in an effort to move a speaker off the shelf with flash, but rather produce an accurate reproduction of the music (with in reason, given the size of the speaker). That first unit quit charging. Contacted Altec Lansing Support and they shipped me out a replacement unit. Other than the new one being black versus blue in color, the overall support experience went well, and the replacement has been working great. I am a musician and a bit of an audiophile. This is a great unit to listen to. Out does not fatigue, and works well when paired bus Bluetooth to our Amazon Echo, or attached via cable to my Audioquest Dragonfly Red off of phone, tablet or computer.

Speaker is easy to use. Very good volume. Could use a little more bass but overall a very nice speaker. It actually is waterproof. I dipped it in tub to check.

This thing has longer battery life than most anything and plays extremely loud with good bass. The fact it's water and sand proof is icing on the cake!

Rugged exterior with optimal sound quality and craftsmanship. The 1year warranty tops it all. Altec Lansing really stands behind their brand and products. I bought a second speaker of the same size and color in less than year!

I've been pretty happy with this so far. The Bluetooth does seem a little finicky, but truthfully maybe it's just me. When it does connect it works well and it stays connected for a decent distance. Sound quality is great!

I really like the speaker. Its loud and sounds great.. I havent taken it in the water yet but I really like that option... 4 stars and not five because of the weight of it.. Its really heavy compared to the other competitors.

Wanted a wireless speaker to use in the wood shop that can take a little use and abuse. The sound quality is very good considering the environment and physical location. Seems well made and suited for my application.

No user manual provided with this speaker and none is available from support, they only provide a Quick Start Guide with the speaker,. I was able to obtain a User Manual for the IMW678 Speaker from support. Decals are provided, but no instruction on where to place them. I was disappointed when learning that no User Manual is available for such a good product. Performance wise it is outstanding. Exceptional long battery use before recharge. Plan on getting a second one in the future for Stereo Sound.

Purchased this as a gift to use on our boat. We wanted something use when floating in the water. It is very easy to sync with the blue tooth to our phones. The sound is great and gets pretty loud! Very impressed!

the speaker is very good quality, I am very happy with the purchase however if you are looking for a speaker with bass this isn't the one, it does have very good crisp mid and high tones. excellent build quality.

This is a terrific speaker! Well built, loud and long battery! My only complaint is the slight awkwardness with the ports flap. It makes a proper seal however the connection doesn’t make you feel like it does
