Just got it today... and returning today. Not the one for me. Someone's review said it's like they were in a cave. I'm having the same experience. I'm in a brightly lit room, and it's just so dark. I did put my phone flash on, and put it directly over the lens. Now it's giving me the image I expected. But, for over $100, I'm not expecting to get another accessory ( a light), so it can provide the image I want. In addition, one review I saw on YouTube showed how bad the microphone was. I made some calls with it, and the mic wasn't the best in my experience.

I bought the 4K HD webcam about a month ago from Best Buy and have been using it for streaming live yoga classes for my students. The picture is clear and so much better than my laptop camera. It is very user friendly and easy to install. The only disappointment with this video camera is the lighting. I had to set up two standing lamps in my living room on each side of the camera to get enough light while I was teaching. I did not have this issue with my laptop camera. The other comment is that the image is dark and muted. The colors of my living room look dulled and when I am close up to the camera my face is dark. This is a great camera if you have the lighting set up in your space to accommodate being seen clearly and if you are being filmed far away instead of up close. You can adjust the zoom with button at the top of the camera to make your image look larger. Still a great product, just some things to keep in mind.

Was pleasantly surprised to see how well this 4k camera captures all the details. It's super easy to setup and works well with any video software you plan on utilizing. The zoom button is straight forward and a bit no fluff, but to be honest once i've set my desired zoom i seldomly change it. If you are looking to show up more professional in your video meetings this webcam delivers.

I struggled with my last camera to stay in focus and handle low-light situations. Right out of the box, the Aluratek worked crystal clear and I was amazed at what it could do in low-light settings. This camera was simple to set up and Windows recognized it immediately. Most other cameras did not offer 4K which this one does. The camera is adjustable and easily sits on top of my screen. The camera has a zoom feature which I am still figuring out from one software to the next having the settings stay the same. This camera was on sale at the time of purchase which made it extremely appealing.

Purchased today from Best Buy for video conferencing on the weekdays and streaming on weekends. This camera has great quality video for the price and I appreciate the long USB cable it comes with since I have a rather extensive cable management runner system (4 monitors, peripherals, turntables, mic, recording equipment etc.) My only qualm is that the zoom control isn't very convenient or intuitive for zooming out. I also wasn't able to find software zoom controls from Aluratek which would be nice. All in all would recommend for great video quality for an average user.

I have owned this camera for about 1 week and have used it for multiple zoom sessions. I got it primarily for some upcoming zoom interviews and needed something more professional than my laughable built-in laptop webcam. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. The video quality is very good, but I am sure it is not the best out there. Pros: - Video resolution appears quite good with my skin tone, lighting and colors appearing accurate without much wash-out or over-saturation (in comparing my video to others in conference calls, it appears to be the clearest in most groups) - Good automatic low light adjustments - The zoom button to eliminate background clutter is handy. My office was a mess one day, so it was nice to focus on my face and get rid of all the background clutter - Simplicity: seriously just plug it in. That's it. No software or any other steps necessary. Cons: - "Noise" is still an issue. While not a deal-breaker, you will definitely have camera noise when your picture is blown up on a zoom call. This was present somewhat even in good lighting - Microphone: if you are buying this to get the benefit of the microphone, please only buy this for good camera quality. Not many reviewer seem to comment on the mic quality, but it sounds really bad. I tested recording my voice and it made me sound like I was underwater. My stock laptop mic is leagues better in quality. - Price: it's full price is a bit much to ask for

I really like this Webcam. The quality is awesome and I can definitely see the quality differential compared to colleagues cameras on Zoom calls. The zooming feature is great if you want to show less of your background. It covers a very large area in HD. The camera cover is also a nice addition. One thing I'll say is this webcam is huge! The tripod stand is nicely weighted so even though it's big, its well balanced. The versatility to change camera angles and move it around is also really great. The only downside would be the mic. People have said I sound like I'm in the toilet and there is a lot of feedback. For streaming it will not work for good sound and you'll need another mic. It seems to not always pick up my voice if I have sound coming from my speakers. All you need to do is turn down the sound though which is an easy fix. I got it for BF so I got it for way less that its regular retail which made it even more of a good buy aka (BESTBUY LOL)

I got this webcam for my son's distance learning. Against my better judgement, I purchased a cheap 15 dollar 1080p webcam on Amazon initially. It was really bad. Not clear and the picture was super saturated. The teacher was having trouble reading his work when he tried to show it. Since he will be doing the distance learning this whole year, thought I should invest in a nice webcam. This webcam is awesome. Picture is super clear and field of view is large which is a plus! The teachers have commented on how clear my son's webcam without mentioning a new webcam was purchased! Definitely happy with this purchase!

We needed a camera that had a clear, quality picture so we bought this and we are very pleased. It is so much better than our laptops. When we are on video conferencing calls, my husband and I can sit next to each comfortably because of the wide angle range of the camera. It was very easy to install on our PC. We also appreciate the privacy cover when we are not using the camera.

Simplicity is under-rated. This was so easy to set up and use, it was literally within minutes of opening the box that I'm on-line in a Zoom Meeting, with a sharp picture and excellent sound. This was exactly what I was looking for and the price was reasonable too. The Best Buy Sales Person gave a great recommendation, I'd happily recommend Aluratek-4K too!

Great picture quality and hw zoom button. Would be great if there was software control. To zoom back out you have to zoom all the way in first. Doesn't do well in low light, make sure you have a bright lit room or ring lights

I bought this webcam as I teach many dance, burlesque, silk veil, and bellydance classes online, do a lot of online streaming work for shows since the pandemic. I need to move around my dance studio, and the wide lens allows for me to be seen in all nooks of the studio. The lowlight balancing works well, but does grey out a little bit, which i think is normal. The quality is beautiful, crisp and clear. My students have noticed. (Sometimes I do get some waterfall actions on the white wall behind me, I haven't quite figured that one out yet.) The built in camera is great- however for the dancing it's harder for me to use it since I often speak further away from the camera, but when I do speak close, or within a few feet, it picks it up. It works great for the price. Sound is find for a small mic, not nearly as crisp as a dedicated mic of course. It's seriously so easy to use, just plug in and go! plus, the shutter over the lens acts as a protector and a cover. It's not tiny, but definitely small enough to travel with if necessary AND the quality makes up for it. I honestly thought I'd return it after I bought it, not thinking I needed such a good camera, but it's revolutionized my streaming and I highly recommend it!

First use was especially encouraging, and the 2nd use was critical that the zoomcast went well. Was shocked to find that the venue of this 2nd zoomcast had NO overhead lighting. I was able to make a few software adjustments and get a slightly different angle from what I'd intended, but the feedback from those who attended virtually was very good. I had the device about 5 feet from the main presenter. The video AND the audio got thumbs up from those on zoom. The audio was the part I'd worried most about. The HD video clarity was considerably better than using the one that came on my laptop. It literally was plug-n-play. The software loaded itself & I was ready to go in 30 seconde. The audio from 5 feet away was only slightly better than my laptop close up; however, my laptop would never have picked up good, clear audio from 5 feet away. Very, very pleased with this purchase.

Crystal clear and very easy to setup. Purchase for a Zoom family reunion. We connected a flat screen TV to a surface book and displayed the family reunion on screen. We sat around a table and the camera wide coverage area was able to pick everyone up.

I use this webcam to stream live video on social media as well as conference calls for business. With an easy to tilt and adjust stand, and high quality of video, this camera, compared to others, is a notch above cameras at the $140-150 price point at the writing of this review. The only negative I could say about this webcam is the low light performance, but that is to be expected with this type of camera.
