After figuring out how to set it up the first time it works pretty well. It works well with both Android and iOS. If you're the only person using the car it will connect automatically and you won't even have to think about it. If you're not the last person who drove it will try to connect to that persons phone first so you have to wait for it to fail (half a minute maybe). But after that it works fine again. Not much of a hassle for me but that's the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars.

I think this device is quite helpful so that you don’t have to be connecting and disconnecting cables, but it does glitch sometimes I’d say 90% of the time it works correctly.

My Motorola went bad, so stopped by BB and picked this up. I like this is contained in a stick instead of cable to the device. Works so much better for my cars layout. It has connected first time every time so far.

Picked this item up on a deal of the day sale for $39.99 for my 2023 Hyundai Tuscon Limited. This has been a game changer. The setup is simple, plug it in, link it, and go. The connection is 95% stable, there are some random disconnects here and there but it quickly re-connects on its own. I don't notice a difference in audio quality between wired vs wireless. For the price I paid, the thumbprint it has, and overall ease of use this product punches well above its weight. I definitely recommend this item if you happen to find it on sale.

The product works as intended as someone previously mentioned they’ve had ran into an issue where they need to unplug it and plug it back into the USB port. I’ve had to do the same but only one time. As with most of these type of products, there is a very slight delay like a millisecond delay when changing music, other than that audio comes out normal and it’s great to not have to always plug in my phone to access Google maps

Aluratek Car Adapter Works Good So Far

My Aluratek Car Adapter was easy to install. I used my port inside my console and seems to be working fine in there. Every once in a while when I open my door to get in my vehicle, music plays for a second from what I was playing, before I turned the vehicle off. I guess that is from the Bluetooth reattaching. There has been one or two times that it had trouble syncing up after getting in and starting the truck. It has really come in handy, while in traffic, having to reroute my driving on the fly. It’s a little different now, because I have to do everything through CarPlay. That means, making phone calls. When I try to make phone calls the old way with my voice command, I get a response back that says, a phone is not connected. You have to readjust your mind to how you’re using your phone. I purchased it on the deal of the day at a good value. You have the good with the bad, but I feel the item is still in the plus column. I don’t have to use the cable anymore.

This is great if you have an older vehicle that does not have Apple Car Play via bluetooth already. Works well in my 2016 F150. Only draw back is about 2 out of 10 times My Sync 3 system will get stuck on the "looking for the usb adapter" and you have to unplug and replug it. I would definitely buy again though.

Like so many others whose Motorola adapter experience 6-month sudden death, I was suddenly without wireless Android Auto. This little thing was the only option available at the Best Buy store I went to with my dead Moto. I must admit I was very skeptical that some off-brand little thumb-drive form factor adapter could perform - but wow! It has been flawless now for several weeks. Rest assured it does the job well - at least connecting my Samsung S24 Ultra with a 2018 Honda (Civic Si) Android Auto system.

Initial setup was quick, and on average it will connect within seconds once you enter your car. Once a week it will take a few minutes to connect but it’s worth the wait not to have to mess with a cable.

Bought this for my 19’ Jeep and it gives what you expect from Apple car play. However, I can’t figure out how to transfer a call from car to phone when you want to leave your car. Other than that it’s worth it.

I was skeptical at first because I read that there were dead zones or dropped calls. So far I have not had any issues with connectivity, I really enjoyed this product and for the price you can't beat it. Give it a try you wont, regret it.

    Not reliable, disconnects too much

Using this with a 2024 Hyundai Elantra, a model that only has a wired CarPlay option. I'm a bit of a techie so setting it up was pretty easy, the instructions are straightforward and simple to follow. It includes 2 extension cables depending on your USB port and location, which I didn't need to use. I made sure I update iOS to the latest update and the car infotainment system is also up-to-date. After setting up it worked instantly. No lag at all, as if I had the iPhone tethered with the USB cord. Left the card for a few minutes and came back and instantly worked again. Very happy. Unfortunately, reliability is not its strong point. When using it, it would often disconnect in the middle of a drive. And not just disconnect, but a "connect to bluetooth" screen comes on that you cannot get rid of unless you hard reset your infotainment unit or leave your car and come back so everything resets. Not something you want to happen when driving. The same issue happens a lot when starting up the car, it just cannot find the phone, giving a weird connect to bluetooth message which you cannot get rid of unless you remove the device and insert it back in. I'd say it works maybe 50% of the time.

These are my 2nd wireless carplay adapter. My previous once, different brand, worked ok. This model appealed to me because of the ability to connect to phones. I have been really pleased with their function and quality. My old once, when diconnecting from the car while on a call would do a lound, annoying noise to the other person on the phone and most of the time, they would hang up. These toggle on and off the car when already connected to a call with ease (slight delay, but no annoying noise for the other caller).
