    Really great product!!!!

I bought this product mainly because most of the tv shows I like to watch at home are tabloid talk shows and my wife can't stand them. So a great compromise was to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter so I can watch my favorite shows without her having to hear the chaos. First off, I don't write reviews ever, and yes, this is real! Overall, this is one of the better purchases I had made in long time! This product is fantastic! There is no delay in sound and the quality is suburb. I paired my Bluetooth transmitter with my Beats brand wireless/Bluetooth headphones. It has a long transmit range too. I am able to walk around different rooms in the house with no disruptions. I have not tried using it as a receiver yet, but I'm sure it will be just as great as the transmitter. This product is also really small and lightweight and compact (approx 2 in. tall by 1 & half in. wide and 1/4 inch thick) so it's great for carrying to friends house (supports up to 2 headsets at once) and easy to pair, simply press and hold the power button and it automatically paired! I recommend this product to anyone looking to watch tv or gaming or listen to music as loud as they want from any room, without anyone else having to hear a peep! At a price tag of around $40 bucks, it's definitely worth it!!

I purchased the Aluratek - Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter Model: ABC01F from Best Buy to add Bluetooth audio capabilities to my car. The car radio does have Bluetooth for the phone, but does not have it for audio. I didn't want a product that would 'take over' the phone capabilities of the car. Startup was simple. I switched the Aluratek to 'Receive' mode (switch on the side of the device), plugged it in to my AUX port on the radio and turned it on. My iPhone 7 almost immediately paired to it and Pandora began to play thru my radio speakers. The sound was just as good as when I plugged in my lightning connector to the AUX port. Reviews of other similar products that I looked at stated that there was a buzzing sound from the radio if the Bluetooth device was charging via the car's cigarette lighter. This is definitely not the case for the Aluratek. I keep the device constantly charging on the cigarette lighter. This way I never have to worry about recharging it or having it run empty while driving. Sound is great, even at low volume levels. With the top of the car down, and the radio turned up high, I hear no distortion. When I leave the car, I don't do anything with the Aluratek. It automatically powers down in about 5 minutes. I also do not stop Pandora on my iPhone. When it loses the Bluetooth connection, it simply goes into pause-mode. When I return to the car, I simply give the Aluratek a quick turn-on (small power button on the side of the device). The iPhone pairs automatically, and after about 10 seconds, Pandora resumes. In all, I'm very happy with this device and would recommend it to anyone looking to add Bluetooth audio to their car's radio thru the AUX port.

I purchased this for an older smart tv so that Bluetooth headphones could be used to listen to it privately. Pros: it is both a transmitter and a receiver, it includes a red/white Y-style RCA cable adapter as well as a standard aux plug, it charged quickly with the included usb charging cable, it has a separate power button, and it was very easy to set up and pair. Cons: the volume was very limited and low, requiring the volume on the Aluratek and both the headphones and tv/cable to be at max to listen comfortably (loud volume is impossible. Audio quality is just passable. Additionally, the battery life is unknown and the price is quite high. If this unit was priced at $25 or less, it would be much more reasonable; $42.50 is really an exorbitant amount particularly for an item that lacks high quality audio fidelity.

I needed a Bluetooth device to use at work so I can listen to music from my PC without being tethered. I have a LG HBS-730 headset and it connects flawlessly The headset does not reconnect after every power cycle , but a quick double tap of the button on the device after power up connects it right back up. I have used it as an audio output of my S7 Edge, without issue. I wire it to the headphone jack, connect with multiple headphones according to the instructions, and boom, all audio to both headsets. Same with my Galaxy S2 tablet. Not issues. Audio quality is excellent. One thing to remember, if you are not getting any audio, and you have checked the audio output of the source, and headphones are turned up, make sure the volume of the device itself is turned up. The +- buttons control volume of the transmitted audio. I have not tested it as a receiver yet, so I have no info on that mode. Once I do, I will update this review. For now, great product, works exactly as advertised. I recommend it. BTW, unless you need the digital optical connection, save your money and purchase this one. If you need the digital optical connection, model ADB1B would be the better choice.

Very impressive little device! This device turns things not equipped with Bluetooth into Bluetooth-ready equipment! It can transmit the signal OR receive it, depending on your choice! If you want to listen to a VCR (or anything with RCA outputs) or an old Walkman (or anything with an earphone jack) on your Bluetooth earphones, plug the included RCA cord or earphone jack in & switch the device to Transmit. If you want to listen to your Smartphone music through your non-Bluetooth equipped speakers, just plug in the included earphone jack into an Aux or input jack and set the device to Receive! It is rechargeable & comes with the plug (standard USB ends) to charge it. It lasts for hours on a single charge. All this in a tiny device for a small amount of money ($30 or so when I got it). This is worth it for anyone who has electronics that are not Bluetooth capable!!

I bought TWO Aluratek bluetooth devices to give my iPhone or iPad the ability to transmit to more than one bluetooth reproducer. Since I have two larger bluetooth speakers and a medium-sized speaker by the same manufacturer, I decided to use one Aluratek in transmit mode, connected to the headphone jack of my iPad. I used the other Alurtek in receive mode to drive the two larger speakers wired together using Y-connectors, so that one speaker was pumping out only right-channel information and the other only left-channel information. The smaller speaker was functioning as a pseudo center-channel speaker (carrying both right and left channels). The Aluratek transmitter was successfully paired with both the Aluratek receiver and the center bluetooth speaker. I'm willing to bet that I'll have the best audio in the campground! Anyway, I am pleased with my purchase and definitely recommend spending the few extra dollars to get the dual-mode model (transmit or receive) rather than a single-mode model (like the unit that is strictly a recever and has a pigtail audio plug instead of an audio jack). Yes, take TWO; they're small!

Multifunctional Device - Takes Out the Guess Work

This Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver is Superb! I love the fact that I can use it to stream music from my iPhone to my non-Bluetooth stereo system. I just plugged this into my receiver's headphone port and I was instantly streaming Pandora throughout my surround sound in the home. I switched over from receiver mode to Bluetooth transmitter mode then plugged it into the headphone jack on my TV so I could stream directly to my new Bose Bluetooth Headphones. I really like to watch TV like this as I feel like I'm in a movie theater and I get to tune out all the backgound noise (sorry honey). The pairing with my Iphone and my headphones was very easy. Great multipurpose product!

I purchased this along with some Sony Bluetooth headphones to be able to stream audio from my Samsung TV without disturbing others in our home. The headphones work great with my iphone 6s, but not so well with the Aluratek device. When streaming audio from my TV and Aluratek, it pauses and skips a lot- very frustrating. So, I don't believe it is an issue with the headphones, rather the Aluratek transmitter. It is also difficult to pair with the headphones, although I don't have a problem pairing the headphones with my iphone. It may work ok with other devices, but not with my TV, which is what I purchased it for. I am going to give this transmitter another try, but may be returning it if not satisfactory.

I came into the store planning to buy the cheaper, transmitter-only model and decided that for only $10 more, it made sense to get this model instead, in case I ever needed a Bluetooth receiver sometime in the future. I had no real trouble setting it up and syncing it to the little Bluetooth speaker I also bought, although the directions were initially a little confusing to me (I'm a Bluetooth newbie!). They could be better organized by grouping "Pairing in transmitter mode" then "Pair with two devices in TX mode" together under one "Operation" heading. In the kitchen area of my apartment, at last I can hear the TV from the living room without having to crank up the volume full blast. I'm sure my neighbors appreciate it! BTW, previously I tried wireless headphones but didn't like having to wear them while cooking, washing the dishes, etc.

I use Bluetooth noise cancelling headphones for travel, and while I can connect to airplane entertainment systems for international travel via cords and adapters, it really negates the benefit of Bluetooth. So I bought one of these to see how they would work on an transpacific flight on an airline that uses two-prong mini plugs for their systems. I used my two-prong mini plug adapter with this Bluetooth transmitter to connect my Bluetooth headphones to the airplane entertainment system, and it worked almost flawlessly. Did not notice any audio lag, even on action movies. Granted, an airplane entertainment system isn't exactly high fidelity, so I can't speak to audio lag on better TVs/audio systems. But if you're looking for something to use while traveling, this is perfect. Size is also perfect for travel

Only posting this in case others want to use this product for more than it was intended. My main reason for purchasing this product was to transmit a Bluetooth signal from a RCA output DVD player to a Bose Bluetooth speaker. It does work but at medium-low volume at best. Turned volume up all the way up on speaker and transmitter. My laptop and iPhone send Bluetooth to my Bose at very loud volumes for comparison. So while the description specifically mentions headphones I assumed it would have the same ability as an iPhone. But the pairing option worked great, transmit distance was fine, just stick to headphones and you will be good. My rating is based on headphone use.

The title may seem silly BUT when you have a ROKU ULTRA and you do not feel like earphones, this device really fits the bill. You can listen to your ROKU ULTRA driven wide screen on a private small quality speaker in your secluded corner AND still keep an ear open to all else around you. HOWEVER, the title is to alert you to what a similar device MUST do to achieve success. ROKU ULTRA transmits the audio to its remote to support your earphones. However, to support a local speaker, the Bluetooth device MUST RECEIVE the sound from the earphone jack before it MUST TRANSMIT the same sound to the private speaker. THIS ALURATEK Model ABC01F performs BOTH functions and works quite well. There is also no audio lag behind video.

The workout machines at my gym allow you to connect earbuds to them. You can listen to any one of several TVs while on a treadmill or stationary bike, etc. During a workout, it can be a problem when the earbud cords bounce around and you end up knocking the cord out. With this transmitter attached where the cord plugs in to the machines and bluetooth earbuds, you aren't tethered to the machine. Much more comfortable to run and keep an eye on a game or program. The transmitter/receiver is quite compact so it's not burdensome, size wise. I can go at least 3 or 4 workouts (which usually take about an hour) before recharging.

I use this in combination with a laptop or stereo receiver paired with Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones. Most of the time for watching movies on television played through my home theater system. My son does a lot of interactive gaming in the same room, so I am trying to hear my movie while he is talking to and listening to his friends. To make a long story short, this device works perfectly for pairing up the bluetooth headphones with the receiver. Pairs easily and quickly when switching devices. I was concerned about a lag time between the video and audio but there was no issue there. Works great. I have to go back to the Best Buy store and thank the sales person that suggested them to me.

I was in need of a electronic receiver since my car doesn’t come equipped with such feature. This came up in an online research and i’m Glad I bought it! I got rid of the aux cable they came hanging from my smartphone and the installation is a breeze. The sound quality is remarkably amazing! The knot down size I would say is the battery life, but I have it plug in the electric outlet of my car and it never shuts down. I would recommend to use your own aux cable, since the small aux cable did give me some trouble. (Sound came as mono and not stereo) I’ll also mention that the range of the unit is long!! You can use your smartphone playing the music and be far away from the device.

Aluratek wireless tx and rx device was flexible and easy to configure. Connect iPod or I Phone to older hard wired stereo devices or connect older stereo devices to newer wireless headphones and vise versa. Very easy to install and links up seamlessly every time! See Pictures as installed to both RCA inputs or Headphone output from my Old School Boombox. Also have one hooked to my whole house audio input on my home stereo which I connect to both my iPhone and PC for unlimited musical applications.

I bought these to use with my Bose Soundsport wireless headphones On flights since I travel a lot for work. It paired easily and I liked that it could charge while I used it. When I used it for the first time, I could barely hear anything with the volume all the way up on the movie. I’ve never had this issue with my headphones and other devices. I tried pairing again to see if it would help, but unfortunately no. Not sure if it is just my headphones not wanting to work with it. I returned them.

Bought this to connect my I-pod Classic to my Bose Sound Link Micro Speaker. The devices did connect music was transmitted. That part worked. My speaker has a volume controls. This device has volume controls and neither of them worked. The volume on my I-pod did work to turn it up and down. The thing is. I connect to this speaker with my computer. The volume on the speaker connected with computer is 2x as loud as with it connected to the I-pod. The volume controls on the speaker also work when connected this way. So the device connected fine but I just have volume issues with using the I-pod.

I have a desktop computer that does not have Bluetooth built into it so I wanted to find a device that would give me that capability without using a dongle. I wanted to connect additional speakers to my system without running cables. The Aluratek - Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter works fine. What was really great was the ability to make the purchase through Best Buy and have them shipped to my home. That was easy and very convenient. I think I'll do more shopping from Best Buy this way since the store in our town is on the other side and smaller than most stores I have visited in other cities.

I purchased this largely in part because a feature on the Aluratek website stated it would turn off 5 minutes after a device was disconnected. This would help prolong battery life!! THERE IS NO AUTO TURNOFF. I emailed the company, providing screen shots and they simply said, must have been a typo error on the website. No apology whatsoever. I will be returning this item.
