It received the local radio station OK, but the sound dropped out periodically. 1. I returned it and got a second model, but the sound also dropped out periodically. The Wi-Fi signal strength was good. The program returned if I touched Pause, then Play. No such dropouts on my computer. 2. Once, the display suddenly switched to sideways, fairly high magnification, almost unusable. Changing settings was useless. 3. So I set it back to factory settings, and where Google Play should have been, it now showed Calculator. I reset it again with the same result. Google Play did not show up among the apps, so I had to use Chrome to install my apps. 4. I set the clock to Mountain Standard Time, but the big display in the middle of the home page remained an hour behind. 5. I gave up and returned the beast for a credit..

It has a wide variety of apps available on the device itself and you can go on line and download other apps. The ones I've used (Pandora. TuneIn, Iheart) do work but this unit is ungodly slow. I use these on several smart TV's, Iphone and a tablet and compared to this, they are lightening fast. Sound quality is mediocre at best. My solution was to connect a pair of $35 computer speakers and actually, it's quite nice then. Thinking about it, I think I could have gotten the same performance from their similar unit priced about half of what this one cost, but the screen is smaller ( 4 X 3) as opposed to this one's 7"

I'm blown away with this product. Very easy to connect it to my wireless router at home by entering my passcode on the touch screen display. I stream Pandora radio but all the other apps are there if I want to try something else. I have watched Netflix movies on this and the sound is great! Much better than if you were to watch from a tablet. I downloaded an alarm clock app that is really nice so this also is my new alarm clock. I like to take it outside by the fire pit. It has a built in battery that last for at least 5 or 6 hours on a charge which is decent. I haven played around with the voice recognition yet but that seems like a cool feature. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased this radio while Best Buy had a one day special on it. It also happened to be just after my birthday, so I had a code for an additional 10% off. I found it easy to set up and link my accounts and download the apps I wanted. I've been using it every day and am completely satisfied with its performance.
