I'm keeping this...but for this price I did expect that there wouldn't be as much lag as there is. It's fine for most things...Hit pause, next song etc on music and wait 1-2 sec ...not really a huge deal. But when talking on the phone to someone it really really is frustrating. Kept stepping on folks conversations and they mine. Still the connectivity is great, the quality of the audio is great and not having the cord is great. I tucked mine up under the console with a command strip and it even doesn't look that bad (wish black had been an option.).

Aluratek Adapter for Apple CarPlay Review

The Aluratek Wireless Adapter is a game-changer for those tired of plugging in their iPhone every time they use Apple CarPlay. It makes connecting wirelessly simple, but there are a few things to consider. Pros: Wireless Convenience: No more cables! The adapter connects your iPhone to CarPlay wirelessly, making it much easier to use. Easy Setup: Setup is straightforward, and the connection is usually stable once it's paired. Solid Performance: Works well for most apps, offering smooth navigation, music streaming, and more without lag. Cons: Compatibility Issues: It doesn't work with all car models or head units, so you might need to double-check compatibility. Occasional Connection Drops: While generally stable, there can be occasional disconnects or lag, especially when using more demanding apps. Price: It’s a bit pricey for what it is, considering some cars already have wireless CarPlay built in. Bottom Line: The Aluratek Wireless Adapter is a convenient tool for upgrading to wireless CarPlay, but it’s not perfect. If it works with your car, it can be a real time-saver, but some minor hiccups and the price might give you pause.

I have bought this for my 24 4runner. Most of the time no matter if bluetooth and or wifi is on the carplay always conncects but the volume controls do not. I can make a call and adjust the volume then. But when listening to music or using the maps i csn not adjust the volume.

Temperamental. It could be my newer model Acura's infotainment center. Acura owners know this is an issue. It works for maps, phone calls and text messages most of the time. But for Pandora and CNBC I need to mess around with the app on my phone to jump start it into working 50% of the time. Could be better. Bought two of these. One for myself and my wife. I was the guinea pig and returned my wife's. She would have already thrown it out the window. :)

Trying to use this in my Corolla Hatchback was a little frustrating. The unit always booted up and connected right away but more often than not my volume control wouldn’t work from the steering wheel or the head unit itself (factory). I even reset my phone thinking that was the issue. I’d have to unplug it and put it back in 3-4 times before I got the functionality back. Id rather deal with a cable than this. Returned.

This did not work with my 2020 Buick Envision. I returned this one and exchanged for another adapter that was about the same price. The other adapter worked like a charm. This adapter seems kind of cheaply made and packaged for what is being charged for it.

i bought this piece for my 2019 honda accord, it’s easy to install and use. it connects easily after turning on your car but the only problem is it slows down your monitor, you can’t use waze and spotify together without the music stopping completely, sometimes the product disconnects and connects again while driving so it depends how you look at it.

Greats device did have to return the first one I bought though due to the fact that it wouldn’t recognize that it was plugged in to my car anymore and wouldn’t light up at all but after an even exchange for a new one haven’t had any issues with it since

Have had a lot of reliability issues with getting this to sync with my phone every time I get into the car, usually I have to cycle the blue tooth on and off on my phone before I can get it to sync correctly to my JVC CarPlay capable stereo, what is odd is it worked flawlessly for the first two or three weeks I had it and then the random disconnections or not being able to connect at all started, may give it a little more time and try to find some YouTube help videos before I give up on it completely but for almost a hundred dollars it is hard to throw in the towel.

Product is OK but has it's flaws. At times the reception is lacking and intermittent. I use it rather than having it connected by a cord, however this intermittent reception may have me go back to the wired setup. I hope I can find a better version or another wireless adapter for Apple CarPlay. Also, set up took a call to support for Aluratek and they were very helpful with setup.

It does do what it’s meant to, however, what I did not quite like, is the lag between pausing or starting your music. It isn’t quite as fluid as I would like, but if that isn’t an issue for you and all you care about is not having to deal with a cable then this is for you
