This is a great Over-the-Range Microwave. Moreover, the technician that removed the existing one and installed this one is excellent. In and out the door in 15-20 minutes.

This Microwave looks great and does the job well. I bought it to change out an older looking Microwave to enhance the kitchens appearance, job well done

Great microwave. Had that same model in my home when I moved in 7 years ago no issues. The door latched went out after that and bought the same one. Love it.

Basic functions with reasonable price (on sale). Replacing a microwave just before Thanksgiving was seamless and easy with installation and hall away service. Too soon to evaluate the life span.

All the major retailers carry this model, and Best Buy had the lowest spot price on the day I was shopping for a replacement microwave. It was exactly as the various reviews described it, a well designed basic model that so far has worked as advertised. The installation was tedious (3 hrs), and took a few specialty tools, but did not require the help of a rocket scientist to complete. It sticks out further, and is lower above the stove than the previous one we had. The countertop light is back by the wall much farther than most cabinet mounted microwaves, but still provides reasonable coverage for the back burners.

The Amana - 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Black. We purchased this to replace a microwave that gave out. We have been pleased so far. Quieter than our previous microwave. Looks great.

Very happy with the item. Chose this unit since it has 1000W of power and has a fan that moves 300 cu ft per minute. Replaced an older GE unit and this was great. The bracket was well designed and easy to install, the holes for top mount were in different locations so needed new holes but didn't have installation issues. Paper templates for top and back very helpful for installation. Like that the fan has three options, top vent, back vent, or (front vent/ I think). I used top vent to incorporate into existing vent duct work. Size is good and fan is strong. Would recommend.

Really like the two settings on the light. The fan is quieter than our old oven. Did not know how we would miss a handle, but this model is easier to clean.. We do not miss the handle at all.

Works fine and was easy to install . The unit heats food evenly and settings are easy to use

Great microwave overall, but unfortunately it was missing the brackets and hardware kit. I needed to call Amana several times, which ended up being quite an ordeal (separate from Best Buy, though). Overall, the microwave and the experience with Best Buy was pretty good. The only major irritation was that the hardware kit and mounting brackets were not included in the box, and I was not made aware of this until much later.

Install was easy, only thing I did not like was had to make your own template.
