Poorly Made and Designed Refrigerator

It is such a poorly made product. I am so disappointed with it. The seal is cheap and often falls off (we had a service person come out to fix it, but it still is bad). The wired shelves are ridiculous (items fall all the time). The freezer is so bad and it is very difficult to organize food. I can't believe Amana puts its name on this. No more Amana appliances for me.

It is a good basic fridge. The only annoying feature is the that the shelves are wire which does not hold certain containers well. We put some cardboard on the shelf to that we can but beer bottles on it.

Shortly afterward, we had a few weeks of sub freezing weather. All of the milk was frozen and vegetable rotten Ed, despite setting that to the lowest temperature. It just past the returnable period. So we got the appliance company to come out as it was under warranty. They stated that while some refrigerators need additional “garage kit” to ensure refrigerator in garage would function properly in extreme weather, this model does not have one and is not meant to be in garage. So it would freeze in cold weather and melt in hot weather. There is no such mentioning when I made the purchase!!

of 110°F (43°C). The preferred room temperature range for
optimum performance, which reduces electricity usage and
provides superior cooling, is between 60°F (15°C) and 90°F
