It has a variety of speeds and settings, including an economy setting which turns off when the room is at your set temperature then turns back on when temperature rises.

I have not looked at manual to see if there is a non obvious way,

Cools nicely but rattles

My only complaint is that the intake filter rattled quite loudly, such that it made the unit much louder. It's a design issue - the filter fits quite loosely in its track so the vibration of the compressor produced the rattle. Wound up removing the from grill and adding padding to hold the filter in place.

Disappointing purchase

After initial installation, of course I turned the unit on to make sure it worked properly. It felt like it would cool the room. It DOES NOT. It ran all night and so did I trying to figure out why it wasn’t doing it’s job. It’s very noisy. IDo not recommend purchasing from Best Buy as the return policy is WHACk . Of course by the time I really need to use the unit it’s just past their 15 day return window. Had I known that I would not have purchased. Out of the 3 units only 1 really works well enough to cool the bedroom.

In addition, it was totally overpriced I found out after I purchased it. Aweful.
