The knobe to select water says an option for auto sense water level and this functionality is misleading and selects water almost full always. The water bill in my house is high after purchasing this. I could not return this too since I noticed the issue only after the return period is over. If you are a person who is looking for adjustable water level sensing, this may not be a good option for you. Though the lower price is an attraction, it will end in a big loss through utility bill. The whirlpool service ( amana is from whirlpool) and bestbuy from where I bought could not help me since the return period was over.

This washer does not fill up with enough water even using the "deep water" option. It has some sort of water sensor for filling and it doesn't add enough water to the tub. The clothes are holding a lot of detergent due to the lack of water and are not getting clean.

This washer's enamel is chipping off in the inside tub. I've only had it two years and wash maybe 1x a week, maybe 2x sometimes and it's only me. I will be calling the proper party about this.

We just got this washer Saturday. So I put 1 jacket in there to be washed. ( Only 1 ) Remind you it's the auto sensing washer. So I'm trying to figure out why I have enough water to wash a full freaking load of clothes. This washer will have you with a high water bill. All this water for 1 item. Returning It

Pro, 1. It's the most inexpensive full sized brand new washer in my area. 2. It effectively washes clothes. 3. It's easy to use and straightforward without any complicated menus. 4. It holds a decent full sized load of laundry. 5. Most ideal for one person to maybe a family of 3 at the most. 6. It's power efficient compares to most washers in it's price range. 7. It has an auto load detection so it determines how much water to add. 8. It has an area to add bleach for your whites. Cons, 1. It's a little loud when using. 2. The parts don't seem the most sturdy, but only time will tell. 3. Although it'll clean your clothes it doesn't get off lint that well and there's no debrie collector on it. 4. It doesn't have a fabric softener compartment, but you can get the part from Whirlpool. 5. You have to be careful what type of laundry detergent you use, if you use anything other than HE certified you risk suds still being in your clothes after washing them. 6. If you have a bigger family or do a lot of laundry this probably won't be ideal for you. It tends to be slow with wash time and limited on how much it can hold. 7. Since it doesn't remove lint well I'd advise getting a decent dryer with a good lint filter. So far so good. It was easy to hook and first few loads went well. I'm a single person with no one else in my household so this was practical for me. I could have gotten a portable unit, but I was questionable about their durability and I'd have run more loads so that would take more time and use more electricity. For me it's a good machine, for a bigger family I doubt it.

i was surprised to find out how light it was when i loaded it into the suv. Also of note this is a HE or high efficiency washer, something i didn't want because i know if you put to much in it will unbalance itself and break (not this brand but all brands, i seen a friends do it) but it was cheap enough under $400 and runs fine, the deep wash cycle takes forever, like over twice as long, its 2 hours or something so unless you got some major grease stains i'd stay away from that. Only thing i noticed is you will need a downy ball or something as there is no where to put the fabric softener at all, but it works well. I am i please I find this works well, because the cloths dry in the larger dryer well, since my wife always over loads it, this way you don't need to do the dryer twice and waste electric, it will fit queen size bedding, however if you have kind comforters i recommending going one size up.

Ease of use, only negative is that paint started chipping and machine got rusted, so I painted it.Yet could have been that my water is very hot and maybe causes excess humidity. Other than that, in a 5 year span it only broke once and Geek squad plan fixed it.

I recently had to replace my washer, so I checked out what was available online and listed as "available for pick up today" in my local Best Buy. First, let me start by telling you that Amana is made by Whirlpool, so if the salesman tries to push the more expensive Whirlpool washer, don't fall for it. Same company, just a different price. Next is the actual availability of washing machines in the store. I was told by the salesman that "we don't keep these here at the store due to warehouse space...." blah, blah, blah; however, once I stated I refused to pay the $70 delivery fee on an item that clearly states it is available same day, the salesman suddenly had one in the back room. OK, so those "cons" are out of the way and now I can tell you the "pros" of the washing machine. I love it! This machine automatically senses the size of the load and adds the water accordingly, so no more guesswork when it comes to which setting to use. I'm one of those people who don't need all kinds of bells & whistles on a machine...I want it to clean my clothes without having to take college courses to learn how to use it. For that purpose, this is the perfect washing machine! It also has the option of a second rinse cycle, so you know that all traces of soap are rinsed out. The drum is larger than it looks. I've washed a queen sized comforter in it and had no problems. And another plus is how quiet this is. I actually have to listen carefully to make sure I don't miss the time to add fabric softener. And the spinning cycle on this is great, getting out a lot more water than my old machine did which helps cut down the drying time. Overall, I give the machine itself a solid 5-star rating. I only giving it a 4-star rating due to the salesman.

Its a good washer. It washes the loads of clothes greatly and rings out the water really well, better than the laundromat where they leave your clothes pretty damp. The washer leaves your clothes nearly dry. I just did not like that my settings do not switch over to the right ones after one wash that I have to keep unplugging the washer to reset itself and then put the new setting. Other than that it works great and is great for a laundry room that is spacious. If you don't have that much room to work with, then just go with stackables. I learned that you need to keep in mind that you need the dryer to be close enough to where the gas line will reach.

I purchased this washer because it was one of the only options that would fit in my apartment (only have a 57" opening). While it is not the most beautiful model, it does do it's job. I've been using it for about a month now and it has cleaned my clothes just fine. I typically wash about two to three pairs of jeans, five to seven shirts, and a few pairs of sweatpants in an average load and the machine is comfortably full. I can also wash my king size sheets and duvet cover without a problem. For what it's worth, you WON'T be able to fit a comforter in the washer. The cycles are a bit on the long side (compared to what I'm used to from my old apartment's coin laundry). Normal Regular with auto sensing and extra rinse takes about an hour to wash. Bulky sheets with deep water and extra rinse takes about an hour and a half. The only negatives I have about this machine are that it doesn't have a timer to tell you how much time you have left on the load and that it doesn't have a fabric softener dispenser on the agitator. I picked up a downy ball for about $3 and it's been working just fine. Overall, for being my first washer, I am pleased. Especially since I wanted a different model, but had to get this one.
