It heats up quickly and is a simple and excellent unit. For a family with children, the knobs on the back are out of reach of the little ones. This is like the Nissan Frontier of stoves , everything you need and nothing you don’t. I’ve used many fancy glass top stoves and I honestly like this one better. We got one for a rental property and liked using it so much that we got one for our own home. Not everything needs to be complicated, sometimes simple is better. Not to mention, the price was right and this one should be easy to service for years to come . No glass top to break or scratch and it a burner goes out, you can just replace the burner (not the whole top)
