    I live in Az...The AC was working great and then the cord melted...The cord melted on day 20 and only has a 15 day warranty through best buy... So I guess I have to deal with the manufacturers warranty... The horrible part is that the portable ac unit was for my mother who is suffering from dementia...Was hoping best buy would've helped me asap instead of following their policies, sometimes its ok to bend the rules for morals and people in need

    This is the absolute best bang for your buck! I have bought other portable air conditioners and this one out performs all of them. I have bought 3 and I still have one running strong from 3 years ago. Keep in mind this machine can be a little loud but it puts out results, plus it’s not much louder than other brands.

    This little unit is pretty "cool". The pun wasn't intended but it works! We have a small older house with kind of an odd set up. We had a different brand upstairs in the office which did alright, but we needed to add one in the small first floor to complement it (open stairway plan). This little critter works well. It was relatively easy to set up as these go (being an old house takes a little more adaption with the windows, etc). It has the average settings for the mode and fan. I can't say it's quiet - because type units can't be "quiet" - but it doesn't rattle or chicken cackle or anything unusual and you can hear the tv with the volume up a dash or two. All in all - it was definitely worth the cost.

    The unit is noisy when it is running. Similar to window units from the 60’s. Also once the set temperature is reached, the unit shuts off and there is sudden silence. I don’t recommend.

    We bought this for our garage. Although it does not make it really cool (Texas heat with no insulation), it helps lower the temperature as much as we thought it would.

    The vent hose is beyond frustrating to connect. I eventually gave up and used duct tape. it does a fairly good job of cooling a small room but it's extremely loud. I don't recommend this
