We got this dryer less than a month ago. So far so good: inexpensive, straightforward to use (basic features), does what it's supposed to. Something that matters a lot to me: quiet! The dryer this one replaces lasted 12 years. Time will tell whether this Amana is good value for the money, not just cheap to buy. Oh, about "quiet": it doesn't have the "beep!" at the end of the drying cycle. To me, that's a feature.

There is something to be said for a big, basic metal box that has a singular purpose which it performs well. After struggling with constantly repairing a far more complicated, technology and option laden dryer from another brand who shall remain nameless, just having a big dumb metal box that dries your clothes and something as large as a king size comforter has been an absolute joy. Don't keep up with the Joneses, save your desire for options and touchscreens to your mom's Buick, and revel as well as bask in the simple glory of being able to slam a big firm metal door shut - sans a needless window - and press the giant protruding start button. It's cheap and it dries large loads. This is all the dryer you need. If you want to spend double or triple for something that has a ton of complicated options you will never need and just end up paying to have someone fix, much less attempt yourself, I have no empathy or words for you. If you have clothes you need to dry, search no more and just click buy.

I bought the Amana - 6.5 Cu. Ft. 11-Cycle Electric Dryer-White online when I saw that it was on sale at Best Buy. I'd bought the Amana washer that matched this dryer about five months previously from Best Buy. I love that I have a matching washer and dryer set for the first time in 20 years. The dryer is perfect. We're saving money since the Amana dryer dries most loads in half the time than our old one. The washer and dryer are both in a small open area adjacent to the kitchen and both are so quiet. I used my Best Buy Rewards Card, choosing the 12 month pay off option so that I wouldn't be charged interest. I had $25 in Reward Points on my Best Buy Rewards account to use towards the purchase of the dryer. I also earned more Reward Points for a future purchase by purchasing the dryer from Best Buy and using my Rewards Card. SWEET! The Dryer was delivered in five days. Delivery was in touch by phone, email, and text on the delivery day. I also purchased the electric cord and dryer vent, and we installed the dryer ourselves after it was delivered. It took about 15 minutes. Thank you Best Buy!

This a great basic dryer that does what its supposed to. My dryer died on me. I needed a new dryer ASAP and didn't want to buy a whole new fancy set until the washer goes out. This was an affordable alternative. If you are looking for an affordable dryer that does what it is supposed to do without all the bells and whistles, then this is the dryer for you!

This is a great dryer, very quiet, dry's large loads fast. I was concerned buying the least expensive washer and dryer but, so far I have been very happy with my purchases. Best Buy was able to deliver my purchases within 1 week of my order, faster then any other retailer. Set up was fast and I was using all my purchases quickly.
