Also, works great with Alexa. I have this in my room and so far no issues. purchased this over 2 years ago and I'm thinking of purchasing another one for my childs room.

55 inch Amazon firetv.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed with this fire tv, I can’t get all the channels that you get on a regular tv. The picture is not sharp and clear. I takes very long to load each downloaded app, sometimes the downloaded app doesn’t open at all. You cannot dim the background light which makes too bright for nighttime viewing. On the plus side, Netflix and prime video load fast, maybe because it’s preloaded. If I had known all of the negativity features, I would not have purchased this tv.

The remotes are unreliable if you use a Harmony to control your tv. The Remotes have NO NUMBERS so you can’t ever tune a station directly. It defaults to their app interface and it’s a pain to get to broadcast or cable stations. The TV series has a weak tuner. It has issues picking up stations that “dumb” tvs find with no problem. And there’s the missing remote numbers so unless the tv can grab a good signal you have no hope of directly accessing a station. And the tvs are filling with marketing ads and other attempts to track and steer you into purchasing subscriptions. Not worth it.
