This remote has all the functionally of the regular Firestick remote, however the backlight capability is what I truly needed. I generally what my programming in a dark environment in order to be engulfed for my viewing pleasure. With that said the room is dark and hard to see the remote control function. Sometimes you may remember certain locations, however being able to pick up the remote and all the functions light out with you touch is priceless. I am used that feature with my current cable remote and was apprehensive about going completely streaming somewhat based on that capability. GREAT UPGRADE for existing remote. I personally feel like the backlit remote should be standard with the 4K Max Firestick or at least a nominal increase...

This is one of those things you don’t have to have but makes life a little easier. Works like the 4K Fire Stick controller you already have, but with things that should be there anyway. Dark room; move you and near the controller and the buttons light up. Have favorite apps that are not include on the keypad; you can easily add 2 additional apps as shortcuts to the buttons labeled 1 and 2. I use Sling and I press 1 and Sling starts opening on its main page instead of having to scroll to start the app. It also responds to a find my remote request to Alexa so makes remotes under a cushion easier to locate. At $34.95 it’s a little pricey but make booting up TV faster, offers additional features and allows you to have a backup remote (your original remote) if 2 people need to control sound for example.

We lost our remote for our FireTV. We have used other universal remotes in the past that have been a pain to connect. The remote works great and connected right away. It also has a connect to Alexia if you lose it for it to chirp so you can find it. Highly recommend.

This is what I was waiting for! First the backlit buttons, I was so frustrated trying to memorize or braille it at night. And the remote finder!! I spent more time looking in the sheets,under bed, blah blah blah. Such a relief to know it will ony take a minute to find. voice remote must have,so much easier to talk in a title rather than typing and wondering if i spelled it right or??? Highly recommend and the price was so reasonable.

Factory reset my tv and so my cheap replacement remote no longer worked. Purchased this replacement remote and worked with the TV just fine. Also you can ask Alexa to find your remote and it will play a noise. I like that it lights up as well because it makes seeing the buttons better in the dark.

We have all our tvs setup with fire sticks. This remote has made it so easy to search for what we want to watch with the voice control. Best fire tv remote ever! No clicking around trying to find your blue tooth set up anymore.. just hit the little nifty button on the right and your good to go. Walks you through it first time after that you just grab your head phones, ear buds, pro's whatever is your choice and they auto connect everytime! Convenient in everyway.. it is very intuitive, helpful remote with a nice face-lift. And a little helpful location feature that comes in handy if not to far.. Make the switch!
