Perfect size, easy to turn pages. Love that I can turn off and when I turn on again it is on the page I left off .

It's great so far and absolutely love it. On airplane mode the battery lasts for almost a week. The light is not bad too and it's small and easy to carry around.

When the libraries closed I panicked! What to do. I bought a kindle which I never really wanted. To my surprise I love it. It's compact, the light and font are adjustable and reading in the sun is no problem. I bought it from Best Buy because it's a good co. to buy from. I had it for about a week when it went on sale. Best Buy credited me the difference with no problem!

Overall works as advertised- great battery life, love the backlit feature, wide library. Typing is a little clunky but that’s expected with an e-reader vs a tablet. HOWEVER comma: I don’t like how it picks random titles to advertise when it’s on sleep. It feels cheap, plus it makes people think that’s what I’m reading (a couple of awkward situations there). Of course, you can completely power it down and the screen will blank, but id rather it does that or just a generic “Kindle” logo when you put it to sleep too. Or, I guess you can spend the extra money on a (quite overpriced) cover.

His reading has taken off and this kindle has saved us both time and money. He can easily read two-three books over a long, car-trip vacation, and this device has allowed us to bring a library on the road. Perfect for newbies in the e-Book space that want to get a feel for using one without significant expense.

I am not an avid reader or a bookworm, but, would love to read books when I am alone. So, I was looking for a cheaper version of Kindle and this is an excellent product for part-time readers like me. I have not found any discomfort while reading and the size is also fine by me. The best part would be the battery life where I can go for about 10 days on a full charge. Would definitely recommend this product!

Loved it! Great way to download books from sites or library to read on planes, in car, or on vacation. It's easy to read in sunlight, too. You can't go wrong with this upgraded version. Great for all ages, too! Buy the protection just in case you drop it and it's covered. You can get a case, but the store didn"t have so I bought the insurance. I didn't drop it, but it is a little slippery. I am ordering a cute one.

Had an Oasis ant took it back as it is so much larger. This unit is the correct size and I can take it with me anywhere. I am in the IT world and I can carry all my Tech manuals as well as my personal reading on this unit. takes seconds to take it out of my pocket/backpack and boot it up and be reading. Highly recommended Only thing i wish is that it was waer proof.

After going over some instructions, I found the Kindle easy to use and to set up for my specific needs. I'm new to the Kindle world, and was worried that I might not enjoy reading on it as much as with a "real" book. Using the font style & sizing & changing the brightness for each book made them more diverse & original looking, and more like the real thing.

this is the Amazon's basic kindle version. They have added the built-in light and its made the difference. I had tried out 2 other kindles in the past but wasn't able to justify spending much just to read non-pdf books when i could go to my tablet and get it all done and get more out of it. This device is easier on the eyes, the only issue is if you're trying to read a book with graphs or in a pdf format. i also tried out the Ruby for Rails by Hartl and the bad format in kindle edition made it quite hard to read the book.
