I had no idea how many free and inexpensive books are available on Kindle. The complete works of Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky are free. The 5 foot bookshelf of Harvard Classics is $.99. I have all the reading I'll ever need, and I can take them with me everywhere. One of the best purchases I've made. Buy it. A little tricky to transfer books into the device, but you can figure it out.

This device is reasonably priced, and the on-screen text is very easy to read. The charge lasts a long time. I bought an earlier model for my mom years ago, and it finally died, so this is the replacement. It'll hopefully last as long as it's predecessor did.

Pandemic Purchase for my daughter when Covid began. Allows her to read as many books as she wants without having to go to the library which was closed for the longest time here. Great buy when on sale, next generation of reading!

This Kindle is very compact and lightweight which is great. It does not have a port for headphones which can be very inconvenient. I also think the text to speech feature is very difficult to connect the bluetooth and then turn on the feature.

I bought this to give someone as a present as the one they were using was about 6 years old. Much better and finally, the Kindle gets a backlight. I use a Paperwhite and this is about 90% of a Paperwhite. Excellent value.

Great present for my bookworm mother! I preloaded the device with a few books to begin her library and she's been glued to this Kindle ever since. It's a straightforward, efficient, and functional device.

I love this kindle. I love to read. This makes reading so much easier for me. It's small enough to put in your purse. The paper like background is great! Not hard on the eyes at all. I would recommend this kindle!!

This is exactly what I was looking for and it helped that Best Buy has it on sale for $30 less than Amazon. Our libraries are closed for now and it allows me to read during this time.

I used to read Kindel/Amazon books and magazines on my cell phone but could not see the screen in the sun. The sun is not a problem with the Kindle. I can also read at night with the back light option. It takes a little while getting use to the format and just being black & white but it works fine.

Amazon Kindle has long been the premier e-reader. This configuration was a great option for well under $100. Easy set up and substantial storage make it a great device for any age reader.

This device has been a great companion and gives an hassles free way to carry multiple books at one time..it's travel friendly and the charge stays out for 4-5 months in a go.
