The device is smaller than both my original Kindle touch. It is the base version of the Kindle. No bells and whistles, but it does the job. I absolutely love the Kindle LEDs in this model. It makes a world of difference for night reading specifically when my family is in bed, and I don’t have to get up to turn on/off the house lamp and make a ton of noise. The bottom line is that the Kindle e-readers are incontestably the best e-readers currently in the market.

This is great! Light weight, compact, but not so small I need to adjust the font. Non glare screen makes it easy to take outside and still see. I've read in a dark room, also. Still haven't had to adjust the back lighting, although it is an option. While it's not the high end model, if you like to read and have a budget, this is your new favorite until the libraries open again.

My family bought this for me for Mother's Day. I like to read but seldom ever go to bookstores. I had started downloading books to my tablet and computer. Glare on my tablet made reading outdoors nearly impossible and computer/laptop was too big and bulky to be practical. This is perfect. While screen is visable indoors and out. I have gotten a lot of use out of this. Bought one of those sweet little cases online that active the Kindle when you open it and protect it when not in use. that was a perfect accessory.

Purchased as a gift for my mom. She is older & prefers e-readers to books because she reads several books a week & doesn’t have room at the house for the actual books. During the Pandemic, it was easy for her to electronically check books out of the local library, but she couldn’t read outside once the weather got nice. She had to learn how to download the books, but it was a HUGE hit once she got the hang of it, & now she can read outside!

Great screen doesn't hurt eyes and gives feeling like you reading a book. Long battery life and easy to use

Finally switched over from a very old kindle to this new one and I love it. Love the size and its very lightweight. It also very convenient that is has the built-in backlight.

Its a nice reader. The battery lasts for days. It does have a charging cable but not plug so you might have to use your laptop. Sending books to this device is easy if you install the calibre E-book software and convert pdf, djvu etc into the kindle supported format. Has an wifi to connect to. Good choice for reading but don't use the inbuilt browser for browsing etc its not so great. All in all, a great reader.

My wife’s five-year-old Kindle was simple and held a charge for quite a few days. When it broke (screen failure) the new Kindle was easier to use, holds a charge just as long, and the screen and lighting are a big improvement.

I recently purchased this because I wanted to read more but reading on the iPhone or iPad just strained my eyes to much. This buy far was a great purchase! Love the lighting on it to where it actually looks like paper in the sunlight and the charge lasts a good while. Has a good amount of options that i didn’t think it would have. Worth the buy and great price!

bought this at the height of quarantine and have read more books in the past (almost 2 years) than i ever throughout my entire life! if you are a reader, this will change everything! love bringing it to the beach/pool because i don't have to squint when reading! 10/10 love the kindle!

The battery one this last for weeks as advertised, this item is amazing, I bought for my parents and my mom never puts it down, she will literly read it while waiting in line at the grocery store. She loves the size and the ability to have in her purse and pull out when she's waiting to read. Buy it, lol

Purchase this for my mom as a gift, now we don't talk much. She's reading all day. She was using her cellphone but this is way better than phone. Battery last long. It has good memory but 4gb is plenty enough to store lots of books. Also it has back light. Anyone likes to read this is one of the best out there.

Super cute, lightweight and exactly what I wanted. I had been reading all my ebooks on my kindle app on my iPhone and now I can listen to my show and read at the same time. Battery life is impeccable. And even after 3 500+ page books it is still half charged!!

This ereader is small enough to fit in a pocket or purse, slightly larger than my iPhone XR. I love that I can purchase books and read them on the go! I’ve read two books so far, and working on many more. Easy on the eyes!

Feels like paper on the eyes. Battery lasts forever. With the back light what more do you need? its still the best e reader on the market buy it.

I am very happy with this device. It's small and fits in a pocket or a purse. The screen is backlit so you can read without a light and it holds a charge a long time. Love it!

I paid almost $200 for my last Kindle and it failed less than 2 years after purchase. Decided to replace with $80 Kindle that had less memory but found it is more than adequate for me and has the light which is a must for me reading without disturbing my husband.

I am usually a physical book reader and like to turn pages. I wanted an e-reader for car rides dnd trips. It feels like a book when turning pages and I like that I can read anywhere now. I also have found it easier to read in bed and less stressful on my neck.
