I purchased this kindle due to the impacts of the coronavirus epidemic. Knowing that I would be unable to visit a local library, I decided to bow to a computer type tablet for reading. I was unsure of the ability to view as I would see print on paper but am pleasantly surprised by the Kindle. The set up instructions were simple as well as adding a goodreads.com account to track and note books. Still love holding a book in my hands but also nice to have a lightweight reader.

In love with this little gadget. Reading a lot more thanks to this eReader. Excellent reading experience, great battery live and easy to carry around. Recommended with original case.

Overall I like this Kindle. I didn’t care about it having a backlight when I bought it but it turns out to be very handy. The button on the bottom is more recessed than my other Kindle which makes it harder to turn on and off. The page turning doesn’t work as well either. Too sensitive on the edge to your palm and a little hard to make it turn elsewhere.

This is a great simple reader. The feel and hold of this kindle is good and light. It was a good price for a simple black and white reader. It has been used daily for over a month and has a great battery life.

I bought this for my wife for mother's day. She already had a previous version but needed light to read it. This version has a built in backlight as well as paper white feature so she loves it. The battery life is really long too.

I got this so I could comfortably read at night. It’s so easy to program and it’s very handy! I like its size since it makes it very portable. Would definitely recommend.

Super great value product! I picked it up for around $60 on sale. It works as expected. Battery life is great!! I read 1-2 hours a day and it usually lasts me about a week. I’ve only had one incident where it froze, but it was easily fixable by restarting the device.

It was very user friendly. Bought it for. 10 year old who loves to read. Just link it with your Amazon account and that’s pretty much it. Memory is not a big deal. Remove your downloaded book after you read it. It’s saved on your Amazon Kindle account anyway. Just saying.

I love this!. I been using this kindle for a while and it has not let me down even once. Its easy on the eyes and can even be used for audibles.

Books are easy to read, especially with the back light and long lasting battery. It’s a good size for all types of reading and amazon always has free books for grabs.

I'm not sure if it's just me but this thing is somewhat laggy at time? Battery life is incredible. Texts are very legible & it does get quite bright. Just when reading books sometimes there's a noticeable lag. Overall a good product for its price & usability!

I bought this as I buy kindle books from amazon and have it sent to my phone which being old will not hold many. I also have a NOOK tablet from 2005, as well as Samsung Galaxy 10 from the past which I have never used. Passing through BB looking for a back up drive saw this and there was tag that said it wa another prie and bought it at that price. Much lower. It came to my house in 2 days and I started it up and reading it. It could be an inch more for reading surface as an inh and half gets taken away in borders. The background is lit, but looks like I am reading the old newspapers way back. Pages turn fast, being new has no freezing and my Kindle library downloaded fast. I keep it at standard print view instead of large and I feel happy that I bought this at this price and it's small and light enough to travel in my purse everywhere along with my cell phone.

I lost my last device and did not want spend a lot to replace. This device is perfect and I like that the lighting is providing some needed relief for my eyes.

Smaller thank my last Kindle, it’s also lighter and the fact that I can see every word of my book even in bright sunlight is great.

This Kindle e-reader is perfect for trips as can be loaded with tons of books and is very compact and lightweight in your carry-on.

I loveeeee the kindle! I ended up doing a trade-in with Amazon for my old fire tablet because I honestly just didn't need to use any apps. I wanted something specifically for reading and because of a sale noticed that the kindle was available at a discounted price. I love it! I'm currently reading the third Harry Potter book and I'm so happy with how easy it is to use. If you want to dive into good books and don't use apps I would recommend the kindle over a regular tablet.

This was my 2nd new Kindle that had technical issues. The 1st one turned pages when my fingers were near, but not touching the screen. This one, a month after the return period ended (but still under warranty), started showing a problem. it would often stop turning to a new page and only back up. Then I could only turn a page forward when I shut it off and turned it on again. Sometimes it wouldn't turn a new page at all. Otherwise it was fine.

Perfect size, easy to turn pages. Love that I can turn off and when I turn on again it is on the page I left off .
