It has a great speaker and was easy to set up. I would def. recommend to anyone.

We use it for lots of things. The shopping list is wonderful- anyone in the house can no add something to the list as soon as they finish the last item and it is sent right to my phone. The to-do list keeps us on track. The music option, combined with Amazon Prime Music, is awesome! We use Alexa every day. We even play pranks on each other! I love to have Alexa tell my husband a bedtime store about himself. We laugh every time. The kids and hubby will send notes to my to-do list like "Be sure to buy your daughter the new video game she wants!" Very user friendly. Two things we would like changed- the pause between when you say Alexa and when you can say what you want is too long. I also wish there was to make an intercom out of multiple units. We have a dot upstairs would love to be able to project my voice from one to the other rather than yelling to the kids or going upstairs. :)

It's my news, music w/great sound. I've linked it to 2 other Echos & can hear same music all around. It's like having surround sound. The family can leave messages for each other. It's my dictionary & friend. I've linked it my lights & still have much more plan for it. Next, I want to connect it to my home security. The Echo is very versatile. I'm still discovering it's potential.

Easy to use. Sounds good. Hopefully soon they’ll teach Alexa how to do more.

Wow was I in the dark ages. I finally decided to get an echo. I’m so glad I did and can’t believe what I was missing out on. I now say Alexa play George Jones and she does, I have gotten some hue lights and switches. I now just speak “ turn on backyard lights and bam”. Look into it because it is the future and everything will be working if some kind of voice commands.

Bought this for my grand daughter for this Christmas and then they came out with the newer one so I had to get that one for her so now she'll have two of them. I'm sure there both great with the newer one being a little better sounding with the music. I'm happy with both purchases and I'm sure my grand daughter will be to. Also the newer one has the built in hub.

I cannot say enough about how quickly I've come to rely on this product. Easy to set up and start using. I absolutely use this several times a day. It's like a personal assistant. The sound is excellent and easily recognizes voice . I now have 3 in my home and purchased 2 more for my daughter and grandson....so many options to help organize, teach and provide fun.

The echo was easy to set up and interface with all my smart lights and outlets. It's quicker to get the weather through the echo than it is to go on line for it. It does an amazing job in understanding what I am asking for and finding the answer.

I love my new Amazon Echo. I can’t wait to get all the plugs to make my home a smart home. My favorite part is when anyone is in the kitchen and sees we are out or running out of something all they need to do is tell Alexa to add to shopping list. When I am at the store I just have to pull up the list and there it all is. No more taking 30 mins to make a list.

My husband and I love that Amazon echo first generation it was a great purchase it was a great price they recently put out a second generation echo which is supposed to have improved sound I ended up returning it and I really wish I could find another first generation echo because I would definitely purchase another one the sound blows away the second.

Great gadget. It is entertaining and very useful. I don’t have a smart house so I’m not connected to any light or thermastat, etc. I’m sure that’s where this shines. I have tried the grocery lists this works with and they are too basic and not easy to use while shopping. This was one of the reasons I bought it. It is a great speaker. I added a dock that is battery operated to make it portable. Works great. Sounds really good. I ask it questions a couple times a week. Which is neat and helpful.

We don't have the fancy tv or lights alexa can control. But, we love the music, weather, adding stuff to our lists and calendar. There are a few games my husband plays --jeopardy, magic door, etc. The trivia and daily news are also awesome.

Amazon Echo, "Alexa" is great! The Echo has a fantastic speaker so when you want to hear some 80s hits or modern jazz or relaxing background music, just ask! It is really helpful for those little trivia bits of info you wonder about when you're watching TV and usually look up on your phone, then end up checking your email, Facebook, etc and miss half of the show. We have HUE lights in 3 rooms of our house which operate with a phone app. They are great (I definitely recommend them also), but it is wonderful to be able to ASK to have the lights turned on when you need to go to the kitchen in the dark or when your hands are full...or at night when you need all the lights off. It's very user friendly, just one app and about 2 minutes sets the whole thing up. I gave it to my husband for Christmas. It's the best gift ever!

Bought the Echo not really knowing if we would like it or not. We Love it. Alexa is always able to give us a weather report for the day, a daily fact and we play question of the day. We plan to have Alexa keep us up-to-date on Santa's whereabouts on Christmas. There are so many things Alexa can do. She also plays all the songs we ask her to find.

This was my second smart home purchase, the first being the Nest Thermostat. We bought the Alexa with the smart Hue Color Lights. Set up was a breeze. Linked to my Dish Reciever and my Serius XM account. Shutting on and off lights is as simple as telling Alexa. I love how you can change the color and intensity of the lights. Everyday new skills or software is available. After using this for a week, it has convinced me that a smart home is the future. One wish, it would be nice if I could turn on and off The nest thermostat through Alexia. Right now you can set the temp or ask what the temp is but there are occasions where we open the windows and I don't want the AC kicking on so we manually turn the thermostat off. Great product....wait for the sale, it knocks off about $100.

I wasn’t sure how much I was going to use an Echo, and I am still integrating it into my daily routine, but I am enjoying having it around. From morning news and weather, to setting my thermostat & alarm, to even finding an Alec Baldwin cameo (hint: ask the question Joe Montana asks in the old Super Bowl ad), this is a well executed system. The sound quality as a Bluetooth speaker is also very good. The new Echos do the same stuff for less money but this is still a great device.

I love my Echo. The music feature is just so enjoyable and I find myself using it more during the day because all I do is make a request and it manifests! I enjoy asking Alexa for a joke,to add to my shopping list, and to set an alarm. She is so very reliable and pleasant. I do find myself saying please and thank you as well as dancing more!
