We enjoy playing games such as Jeopardy, 29 Questions, and Rock Osoet scissors. I like creating a shopping list. I wish I could rearrange the order if the items but as of now it’s not available. The weather is specific to our city and not the major city an hour away. We’ve just begun hooking up home devices and so far so good!

We love this. Very helpful and entertaining. Useful for automation is an awesome feature. Alexa is great for the young and old. Play your music, get weather, news update among many other options including games.

The echo is a good device for a consumer who isn’t overly tech savvy, but still likes to be connected with new technology. Voice recognition works very well, unless it is playing music above a certain level, then you have to lean in on it to tell it to turn the volume down or off. It’s easy to play with and find out what I can really do. As with most devices in this category, updates to the device and app are always subject to improving it’s overall function.

When I first looked into buying this device I thought it was just for playing music. I was so wrong. It has so many uses that something is new everyday. I use it for music, news, asking questions, setting timers, setting alarms, and the list goes on and on. Great device. Don't know what I did before getting this Echo.

Had the Echo Dot and it was time to upgrade. The sound on the Echo is fantastic. I use it to check weather, wake me in the morning, control my Philips Hue lights, Nest thermostat, and of course, listen to music :-)

Nice product, great for music and ordering from amazon. Runs some home automation, but could use updates.

I love my Echo. I've synced it with just about everything I can. I have it set up to turn on lamps, play music from Spotify, and even call me an Uber. There are a lot of features I haven't even started to explore and new skills are coming out all the time. The sound volume and quality are great for playing music.

I have not gotten the smart light bulbs yet, but plan to eventually. We use Alexa mostly for weather updates, TV control (Dish) and the shopping list. The TV control (Dish, fast forward, rewind, etc) works 75% of the time....not perfect, but nice when it works. My favorite is the shopping list - Love it. Alexa add milk to my shopping list is all you have to say while you are pouring the milk into your recipe and it goes on your shopping list.

I'm a gadget guy and I've been watching this product for a while. I've read and read about the capabilities and finally decided to pull the trigger when I saw it on the shelf. It's been about 3 weeks now and I've learned a lot of the features. Alexa can tell you the forecast, your commute, and even some dad jokes. The sound quality is much better than most of my other Bluetooth speakers but she has to be plugged in all the time, no internal battery with this model. Right now it seems like more of a novelty in my kitchen but I plan on adding some home automation to get my money's worth. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the hardware or AI but it is difficult to add extra capabilities or "skills" through the necessary app because you have to scroll through all of them sequentially. The developers should add categories or a search function by capability. Last I checked there were 2 other models will the same AI capabilities and at lower price points. Read some more reviews and articles and find the one you can justify dropping $100+ on. You'll like it!

It's a great technology device and the voice recognition system works great! I can control my house thermostat and yard sprinkler system from the Echo. Echo can also be setup to control the lighting in the house as well. Echo also provides some entertainment for the kids when they ask her random questions and receive comical answers. I have to say it's really nice to just read my shopping list to Echo and have it on my phone for when I go to the grocery store. I've also done away with my alarm clock in my bedroom and use the echo as my alarm clock and weather station. If it's searchable on the Internet, Echo can usually answer your questions. Even though it still needs some fine tuning it's still a wonderful new piece of technology.

The Echo is really something else, it is able to interpret anything you say to it and it lives up to the words of being able to discern your voice over other sounds in the home. One thing I wish was a little different was the volume control it takes it just a little time to get the Echo to go down in volume.

The kids wanted to get this for their mom this year. I was somewhat skeptical but went along with it. My wife opened it up and the kids showed her how to use it. She absolutely loves it. She starts her morning off by checking the weather before getting the kids ready for school. She then either plays music or news depending on what her mood is in the morning. She likes the fact that she can just ask for an artist or a type of music and it plays. This time the kids were correct. This is amazingly easy to use. You only need to speak what you want. It answers most questions. You can give it items to put on a shopping list. You can then access those items from the Alexa app on your phone. No more paper lists.

Great product. Very easy to set up and reliable. Voice recognition is almost perfect and very fast. It provides very useful features already with its native services. and it can be further improved with additional skills. It's a perfect device if you have it linked to some smart-home device, as it provides a centralized and integrated home-management platform. I have not had the change to compare it to other similar devices, like Google Home. Anyway, given the reviews and the quality of the device, and the huge amount of options to expand it via additional devices, like echo dot, echo show and other gadgets, as well as the additional skills, I would certainly recommend it.

After spending about thirty minutes with one of the sales representatives going over the choices between WiFi and BluTooth capable devices, I chose the Echo. As promised, it provides a great sound and the versatility of moving it from inside to the outdoor patio. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Just say Alexa and what you want her to do and she does it. Yes sometimes if there is some noise or if you don't speak clearly she might get it wrong but most of the time she gets it right. My only flaw with Alexa is the music, which isn't a problem with the product it's self but when it comes to playing music other than Pandora- you do have to subscribe to unlimited music which is reasonably priced and is worth it but do wish it came with it. Other than that I love asking Alexa to play a certain song and she plays it. She is amazing I would recommend it to anyone. Also look into her cool features their so helpful, definitely her to do list and grocery list.

Love it. Play any music, get weather, news, sports info and so much more. Create shopping lists and reminders. It's also an alarm clock and can make your home a smart home with some accessories.

So upon purchase I expected a lot more. She barely understands what we are saying and it's not like we mumble. Not enough features yet. Was kinda disappointed they came out with new one cheaper right after I bought mine. I use mine with alarm and ac but take so long to say the phrase. Honestly it's ok but perhaps could have done without

I was looking for a good speaker for my wife that was easy. This is a good speaker and could not be easier once set-up. Set up is the only reason for not giving it a 5. Initial set-up is easy, but getting skills and some music with separate log ins was a little confusing.

My goodness, this is Great! We ask Alexa questions all the time, and she can usually answer. My wife home schools my kids, and I hear her ask questions in the middle of a lesson sometimes. I have hooked up several smart home products, and it is fun to have Alexa turn off lights, etc.

We use our Echo to control our interior lighting, as well as to set a timer , playing music, getting the weather, and general information. Oh, and the shopping list is a great feature!
