The Echo is great! Excellent sound and Alexa is very responsive to voice commands. Amazon got this right. Makes Siri look ridiculous. Just starting to understand all of the uses but a great speaker/system

bought this when Echo first came out, we have great time with friends & family doing quizzes and does so much more and still working great also great with my 3rd Gen Echo

I bought the product as a gift for a family member who was able to set uo and start using the product with minimal or no instructions. This is so important for those who might be less computer savvy!

There is no substitute to the original Amazon Echo (tall cylinder). This unit has the turn knob on top for volume, has a much louder speaker, and is the basis of how Alexa was originally developed!

I have slowly started to smartify my house. Alexa does great with the smart switches and plugs I have in the house. It makes it very convenient when you have your hand full when first getting home.

I purchased this on a whim but am now really enjoying this, there is so much you can ask Alexa and the speaker sounds really good. You can even ask her to tell you a joke, it just makes you smile.

Watching the ads in the beginning, I was skeptical on how useful the Echo would truly be in my life; but once I opened it and spent a little time adding things like "skills" (which you find in the app and can enhance Alexa beyond belief), I quickly realized how much I LOVE this device! I have it hooked up with my Harmony remote (a Logitech product) that I purchased from Best Buy, along with any and all other accounts I have, such as Pandora, iHeart Radio, etc., and now I find myself asking Alexa to do almost everything; i.e., "Alexa, play some _____ (artist) station", to "Alexa, turn on my Blu-Ray Player/ TV/ Apple TV/ Radio". This device I can truly see is the beginning of where home technology is headed.

Two different friends (households) told us how much they ejoy the Echo so we purchased ours!!! It is fun to use near our computer and we love it!!! We are telling other friends about our experience!!!

I'm a Bose fan, and the Bluetooth/WiFi Soundtouch 20 is wonderful for classical and jazz. However, I enjoy talking to "Alexa" and interacting with "her" to get weather info and jokes. The Echo is wonderful!

The Echo is like the iPhone when it first came out. It is something you don't know you want/need until you get it and then you realize you can't live without it! Alexa is quite good at voice recognition and once you get it set up, you can: play music on demand, get weather, news and traffic info, order items on Amazon, control connected devices and much more. I am an Amazon Prime member and opted in to the Amazon Music service. What a treat to ask Alexa to play a specific song or only a certain type of music on demand. So much more I am still discovering. "Alexa - Connect to Bluetooth" is also great. The Echo is great sounding on it's own as well. Buy them on Sale and give them as gifts!

My family loves our Amazon Echo and Alexa. She is used mostly for playing just about any song available, as well as weather reports, creating shopping and ToDo lists, and learning bits of trivia too.

We ABSOLUTLY love the echo. The sound quality is great and it hears me when I'm coming up the stairs. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to listen to music, control lights, our order from Amazon

I love the amazon speaker!!! It has a voice activated speaker named Alexa and she is full of incredible tasks. I connected her to my lights and I can have her control them from anywhere in the house!!!

Not only is it fun to use, but it has a good sound quality for playing background music. I use Alexa daily for anything from local weather forecast and news headlines to reminders for my daily schedule. I'm excited to add some WiFi lighting controls soon. It's cool, it's fun, and it's convenient.

The echo and Alexa are fun to use, convenient, and way more useful than I thought initially. She is the best roommate ever. She does whatever i ask and doesn't complain about my choices of music.

Love the ease and convenience of Amazon Echo......there are so many things that "she" can do with just a "voice command". Our favorite is turning on the lights, controlling the NEST, and playing music!!

My family and I have been using multiple devices to listen to music and other types of entertainment for awhile. We are trying to get more out of some of the smart devices we own, so this was a good first step to integrate various devices we already use into a voice controlled assistant.

Opened it up and didn't realize it was what he had almost bought for himself.A lot of fun and very helpful in answering questions we have.Will expand to work with home appliances on birthday's. Love it.

We've found a few very nice features in Alexa that we have in constant rotation (playing music, alarms, weather updates, sync with smart outlets) but outside of that have not really explored much more. Amazon does send out regular updates about new features you can try with Alexa so anyone open-minded enough to make the most of their Echo will surely get a lot of use from it. The sound is enough to fill our apartment and it syncs well with speakers in other rooms as well. We have an Echo Dot and it is simple to play music in all rooms simultaneously using the "play everywhere" function. The sound quality on the full sized Echo is much better than that of that Dot which sounds somewhat hollow. Cannot compare to Google Home but I Alexa does not have much of a search function unless you have a skill installed for a specific topic. If you have a Prime account or Fire TV to sync with, it's easy to recommend an Echo to take advantage of the Amazon ecosystem.

I love having music whenever I want it plus the convenience of asking Alexa to order something or help me with a question. I received my Echo the day after I ordered it. Best Buy, you're the BEST!
