Good item, works well but sometimes it needs to be reset because it loses connection with service for some reason. This might be because I have an older truck and only able to use the Aux port. Won't connect to my trucks Bluetooth, but connects well to my phone.

Not really sure what I expected from this. I bought this to have the bluetooth ability in my 07 Mustang- which that part works really well. I also like that i can control my house from my car if i need to, or ask directions- HOWEVER when using Waze when I ask Alexa to get me directions it has me open my phone and open waze..which sort of defeats the purpose of handsfree. I also cannot ask Alexa to call people , I have to ask Siri- which gets confusing with so many AI assistants in my car sometimes.. However the bluetooth functionality from my phone works great- the Alexa portion needs work to integrate a bit more w/ my phone. I bought it with points, so it was no money out of my pocket, so it's a fun little gadget.

I love it! I travel often for work so this product is so convenient! I also have an older model car so having Alexa connect via Bluetooth on my phone is nice. The advantages of having the echo auto version is that it can be able to detect your voice while driving over the sound of the road and music playing in the background. It's specifically made to make your driving experience safer now that smart phones are a part of everyone's daily lives.

My only complaint is sometimes it takes a while to connect to my iPhone, but will connect if you open the alexa up in your iPhone. So make sure to open your alexa app before driving your car or you’ll get tired calling alexa to play some music.

Alexa is a great item, however, the mounting system and miles of wires leaves a lot to desire. Seems as though Amazon put little thought into the important part about mounting the actual device...The system to verify compatibility does not seem to revolve around mounting I have a 2007 Jeep and cannot mount this item

Works great, pairs quickly, and is very good at hearing even when music is playing.
Pairs up and uses phones data, and can interact with devices when not at home. For example i use this to turn my garage smart light on as i pull in the driveway at night so i can see better.
Can also send and read text messages, along with a handy voice snippet in case your recipient gets a jarbled message (doesnt happen often, voice detection has been pretty spot on so far).

Had some connectivity issues during initial setup and after a couple of months it will no longer take my phones call through my speakers. A re-install of the app could work but just a nuisance.
Other than that Alexa voice commands works great and it helps a lot while driving. Recommend!

This device fills a much needed niche in my 2012 Chevy, which does not have a music bluetooth connection, but does connect the phone function by bluetooth to the smartphone. When the aux input is chosen, Alexa clearly hears my commands and acts just like it does at home when it comes to playing my music subscriptions and Audible. Prefer it over Siri, as it can hear a lot better.

I have really enjoyed taking Alexa with me in the car. I use it primarily for music using my own personal play lists. The music quality is very good, the Echo Auto is small and easily placed out of the way. I would have preferred an included piece of hook and loop fastener tape and a right angle 3.5mm adapter instead of the included mount. However, the unit works extremely well in my vehicle and I highly recommend it.

After several months of using Alexa devices in my house, I though I would try it in the car. It pairs with your phone using bluetooth to connect with the internet and is connected to the car radio for sound. It mounts to the vent in the car. I was concerned that it would fall off the vent the first time I went over a bump but I've been using it for some time and it has never fallen off the vent. The microphone picks up commands without any problems. The only problem that I've had so far is that since it pairs automatically with your phone when your in the car, if you don't have your radio on and connected to it, when you make or get a phone call, you don't hear the person on the other end of the call. The first time I tried calling without the radio connected. I thought that my call did not go through when in fact, I just could not hear the party on the other end because the radio was off.

It's pretty neat, still trying to figure everything out. I recently just started messing around with it. I had to improvise on mounting it, the both brackets that Amazon provide wouldn't work for me, So I did a little custom work, and it came out great!

I have a Tesla Model Y and it’s infotainment system lacks some things most cars have, like SiriusXM. The Alexa Auto makes up for that and also allows you to use voice recognition to control it. Does require internet access through your phone.

I do a lot of driving so Alexa in my car is very useful. It is easy to setup using the Alexa app and follows nearly all of the same commands as Alexa devices at home. The only con I would say this far is trying to speak to Alexa while playing music or other media at a high volume. Getting it to register voice requires yelling or waiting for a pause in the action. Not sure of anyway this could be avoided, so it is a minor inconvenience.

I have 2 of these in different vehicles. Mostly works as described. Every now and then, I have to pull the power plug and reset it. And there's no way for echos at home to "drop in" on this device. Other than that, it seems to have full functionality of an echo dot.
