Love my Alexa dot! I have two, one for home and one for work. I gave one to my brother and my dad. I can call them from my work Alexa or home Alexa. I play music on both of them. The shopping list is helpful as well as the to do list. Skills are easy to add.

I am enjoying the lazy life ......not moving any hands and legs muscle, just my voice...lol!

Added another Echo Dot to the household. Nice for turning lights on and off in the house and other simple chores. They are getting smarter little by little....

I have both the echo and dot and love them both. Echo great for playing music by itself. Have hooked dot to my stereo so can request songs and have play through my system. Have also hooked both to smart light switches and plugs. Can't wait until get them setup to control my entire house.

Love my amazon echo dot. It connects via Bluetooth to my soundbar. Excellent to have around.

This falls into the category you don't know what you're missing until you have it. Even if just for connecting to a bluetooth speaker and streaming online music, the Echo Dot is a must-have. Set an alarm or 100, find out the weather, the news, order products all by saying "Alexa..."

Hands free, easy to use. Has everything for my family including cute little jokes for the children when asked. I loved it so much I bought one for my in-laws.

Echo Dot ties right into my smart home and I can control just about everything by voice now.

I purchased it along with a wireless plug in order to have a lamp turn on by voice as the room did not have a switch near the entry point. Works well and now I used it for everything ( ordering on amazon, turning up and down the thermostat, and alarm clock) as it's always learning

Able to hook up to receiver or other sound system. But the speaker is pretty good by itself.

My wife loves this. She listens to music, uses it as an alarm, and can call between devices.

Can't beat the price on the Echo Dot. Does everything the Echo does for less than half the price. The speaker is limited compared to the full Echo, but still sounds good. You can also hook up speakers to this one. I use it for smart home features, Pandora, kitchen timer and questions.

All the great features of the Amazon Echo at a fraction of the size. Alexa responds really well to commands and even learns your voice after a while, making it easier to communicate with it. Only negative is the speaker is not sufficient for music, so you have to connect another speaker to it. This can be down wirelessly though. It does make it more than the $50 though, but sitll cheaper than the Echo.

I like the Echo....it's very convenient to ask a question and get a quick response. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star rating only because it can't answer some of the obvious questions we have asked. However, it is awesome for playing old 70's jams and requested music from various artists. We seem to use it for music more than anything else (we connected it to our BOSE radio and it makes for a great sound.
