We bought these for our girls so they could listen to music in their rooms without having to have their cell phones —works perfectly! Use it all the time.

I've been debating about getting the echo or dot. Decided to get the dot being that it went on sale just I'm time for the holidays, I bought 2 of them!!

I have been very pleased with my Echo dot. It was very easy to set up, has worked without a hitch and the learning curve is very short. I haven't yet set up any smart home accessories but plan to do so in the near future. I haven't come across many commands that aren't understood and it is great for making shopping lists and such. Thinking about adding a couple more units throughout the house.

Has all the great features as its big brother in a small compact size. with a $50 price tag for an Echo device it is a great way to be introduced into the world of Home automation. the only down size is the volume level from this guy. if you want to hear louder sound from it, my best suggestion is to connect with with a bluetooth speaker, or use the 3.5mm audio jack and connect it with a speaker.

I was not sure I was going to like it. I wanted to control my Dish Network receiver and I find it awesome. Glad I bought it. It is well worth the money.

Lots of great features is such a small device. It streams my favorite radio stations and interfaces with the cloud based “Alexa” intelligent assistant. The only down fall is the tiny speaker. But, that is not what it was designed for.

I have my Dot synched with my computer and can play through a separate speaker. I can also access Sirius via my new car, once I figure out how to do it.

This is an interesting toy - provides most answers correctly but many times don't know answers to many questions! Another unneeded device in my life.

I bought the Echo Dot for my office at work. Setup was easy. Once the voice training was complete the Dot knows who I am and reads appointments, reminders, etc. from my work calendar. I even set it up to read an RSS feed from my website daily! The bigger surprise came when I plugged the Dot into the sound system for my computer. What a difference in sound quality! SiriusXM sounds terrific! This works well with the various wifi smart plugs too. Alexa is always getting smarter, meaning the Dot can do more all the time!

I ordered 4 of these to give as Christmas gifts. Was very pleased with the price and how quickly I received them. I think the recipients will be pleased.

Echo Dot is an excellent choice if you are after getting information off the internet or after controlling various smart home devices. Dot is a very good listener (no training required even if you have a foreign accent) ... better than some people :). We are looking to have it in every room. However, if you are after sound quality (for playing music) you will have to spend more money.

I’m pleasantly surprised. Responsiveness is great. “Skills” are plentiful. This does everything you want and the things you didn’t even know you wanted.

This is a great product. Easy to setup and easy to use. I have two setup in our house one for my 92 year young father and one just for me. He uses a walker so I setup his bedroom light and kitchen light and family room light all turned on and off at a simple voice command. He loves it. I love the shopping list and todo list on my iPhone very handy also have it setup for my bedroom light and TV.

This is my second Dot that I've purchased. Got the second one for my boyfriend since I love mine so much. Great for useful information and entertainment!

2nb gen Dot for under $30 can't beat that price, I have Alexa hooked up to control my Xmas tree lights indoor and outdoor, living room lamp and thermostats, she just kepps getting smarter. Just wish the speaker was s little better.

Love the echo.! Great little tool for home automation. It's also great for answering little questions like math conversions and weight conversions Etc.

The packaging looks good for a Christmas present. An earlier purchase of the echo dot was great. It is very entertaining with all of it’s capabilities.

It's a fun product. Works as described. Can get weather and other smart devices to work by commanding them through Alexa which is fun. Recently all of my echo pertussis stopped functioning with my hue light. Music is limited unless you get the Amazon music unmounted subscription, which is discounted in the beginning. Can't wait till this gets smarter and is capable of more.
