I use it mostly for music. Pretty good sound.and easy to pair with Bluetooth

As I integrate more items in the house as part of our smart home network I find it useful to have these around the house to activate devices for me. Even though the speaker isn't as robust as the full fledged Echo, it still gets the job done when I have it play music to put our daughter to sleep. I like the idea of being able to upgrade the sound quality by plugging in a speaker to it too.

In the past I have purchased 4 of theses. Now I have just purchased an additional 4. The are great! Once you get used to asking Alexa for the time, date, weather, news, music, your favorite radio station, kitchen timers, reminders, etc, you will not want to be without one. I also found this was a help for my aging mother to find out what day it is, etc.

Cant believe this device can respond to my requests as fast as it does. We will be getting more for it to communicate with, probably one with screen

The echo dot is a great starter item. Will upgrade to full size as I did not know how small it was going to be, but speaker is louder than expected.

Love talking to Alexa. Sounds good playing music. Easy to learn.

I own 2 of these devices and love them. I connect one of them to my portable bluetooth speaker that I keep in my bathroom for shower singing. : ) Easy to use, Easy to Setup, just make sure you ask the questions or use the features with the exact text required. I recommend you google: Alexa Commands until you get familiar on how to ask Alexa for perform certain tasks and skills.

The Echo Dot does what I need it to do. In addition, it adds some functionality to my Sonos ONE speakers since the echo dot speakers are really bad.

I connect this echo dot to either my Bluetooth JBL speaker or to my home entertainment system using a Bluetooth receiver. I can listen to Amazon music or most any radio station using Iheart app. Also can control my Nest thermostats and my Harmony remote to turn tv on or off or to adjust TV volume. Other harmony functions don't work so well. Can ask echo the weather and news too.

The dot is great, although the sound independently is not that great. You will definitely want to get an external device with more punch sound wise.

everyone should have one, my wife useually hates when I bring electronics home but she even loves the dot. Used it for cooking and as a timer daily.

It is the smallest and cheapest Alexa. And it doesn't sound bad.

I was looking for a Chromecast audio I was not even thinking about echo dot but when I noticed that I could stream Pandora and Spotify I decided going to the echo. Then I turned off my Cozi app and installed Todoist to manage my lists and tasks. Turned out to be pretty handy and kids loved talking with Alexa. Only complaint I have is that Alexa needs to learn more. Many times we ask something that she doesn't know. I will wait for another sale and get a couple more so that I can also use the drop in feature around the house

I bought this for my six year old granddaughter. She listens to music and audio books, along with playing games. She said it’s the best present ever!

Great alternative to Amazon Alexa. The big difference between the Dot and this is the size of the speaker. If you are interested in full room sound get the Alexa. Otherwise they will both perform exactly the same. I have the Dot in the bedroom and Alexa in the kitchen and can speak to it from the family room. It functions well and is small and inconspicuous. Highly recommended.

This device is everything it claims to be and more. It is the second one I have purchased and I’m considering buying a third one. Highly recommended.

Very easy to use,small enough to fit anywhere and a great source of information

I needed an Echo Dot in a pinch, and Best Buy was my best option. Drove over to the store, picked one up, problem solved. Great purchase and product!
