I brought this as a Christmas gift for my parents. And once I set it up I was very impressed at how easy they were able to use it. They aren't great with computers, but this little device helps them with questions when I cant! Alexa can calculate numbers, give movie reviews, the local weather and even the news. She even tells jokes! I would highly recommend!

Picked up and put in bedroom. Used as an alarm, play music..

We used it a lot the first week we had it, mainly trying to learn what it can do. After that, we haven’t used it much at all. It does some things really well, and other things not well at all (particularly phone calls).

This is my second Echo dot purchased to pair with my other unit to use as intercoms for upstairs to downstairs in my home and they work great

This is my second Echo Dot. Really only wanted a Harmony Hub, but it came bundled with the Dot. The Dot doesn't always understand me (Google Home understands me better) but it works to switch on and switch off my devices.

When paired with Spotify the Amazon echo dot is really cool to have. Will play any song artist or genre you ask. Onboard speakers get fairly loud to. Plays me thunderstorms when I'm going to bed. Reads news to me in the morning. Gives me traffic updates. All of which I could do via smart phone but just asking and receiving is pretty cool if your like me with a tight schedule.

Enjoy this in our rv. Great way to listen to music and get weather reports.

Already own an echo but was wanting to add these throughout the house. Was bummed when Amazon quit making them but got excited when I found out they were coming out again and this time cheaper. At this price you can easily afford to put one in every room of the house. Great item and very helpful with some small tasks. Highly recommend the purchase. It will not disappoint.

Bought this as a gift for a family member and he loves it. Soooo convenient! He can connect it to his stereo via the aux input! Great product

I was considering google home but the connection to sonos pushed me to the echo. I chose the dot because i didn’t need the speakers. So i like it thus far. However the bugs between it and sonos need to be worked through.

I love the echo dot. I had recently purchased the full sized echo and fell in love immediately. I wasn't sure that I would use the dot enough because I had the regular echo but I put it in the bedroom and probably use it more. Its my alarm clock, my sleep timer, and my noise machine all rolled into one. I also paired it to my shower speaker and now its a great shower radio.

After my parent's started using theirs, I Bought this for my sister as a gift for Christmas and she is really enjoying the Echo's functions.

The echo dot has decent quality speakers for such a small and inexpensive form factor. The microphone array they use has to be one of the best i've experienced. The dot can hear me from almost anywhere in the house and has yet to interpret my speech incorrectly. Pretty awesome when used with automation. I can just walk to and from rooms and ask for lights to come on and off.

Woul highly recommend with wemo ligth switch. Great price for what it does

We have 3 of these echo dots in the house. Kitchen, wife's office and one was going to be my office is now in my daughter's room. Dot is small you can put anywhere. They say the draw back is the speaker, I say it isn't that bad. You turn it all the way up and it fills a room. Not perfect fidelity but better than listening to music on a turned up cell phone. There are a million things you can do with an echo. I listen to sirius/xm. I bought one audio book, frozen stories and the echo will read it to my daughter (I read her real books too, but after reading a bunch it's nice to turn off the lights and listen to a story every now and then). The best use of an echo is to utilize with Amazon music. I am adverse to any subscription service, but after getting Amazon music for free for a few months we we're sold. Tell Alexa to play any of your favorite playlists and you have music you want to hear. Or just yell out a song as we do at dinner from time to time.. a song comes up on TV or in conversation and you tell Alexa and there it is.. I've rediscovered music from my youth this way and turned my kids on to music that just doesn't get played on the radio. It all because of the echo dot. A bargain when on sale, but even a full price a great investment.

Bought two ... one for me and one for my Mom. Think she will love it .. will be easier than signing on to her computer for simple questions.

My kids love it. Easy to setup, I can even use it as Bluetooth for my car.

Love using the Echo Dot. In fact, I ended up buying two and you can't beat the price, especially when you compare it to the Amazon Echo. One of it's strongest points of the Echo Dot is the ability to connect this device to an external speak via an RCA cable or via Bluetooth. It's a major feature that none of the other Echo's can do.
