I bought this for my Mom for her birthday because she loved my Echo. The features that work great are music applications especially if you have Amazon Prime. It is easy to sync a speaker to stream music. There are so many things you can do with it. My kids use it to check their math homework. Allows them to double check for mistakes. Wikipedia access allows them to get definitions on words or subjects they aren't familiar with. Overall this is a great product.

Great value at a low price. Useful assistant for the bedroom and doubles as an alarm clock. We now have two of them.

I'm please with this purchase, Im able to talk to someone in another room with the drop in feature, very responsive!

if you have an old receiver like I do, or maybe some powered speakers, and you don't know what to do with them, but you don't want to throw them away, this is the answer! Love the fact that I can use my old equipment again! This also work good with Bluetooth speakers. I use Alexa all the time, just so convenient!

ask your alexa device if the cake is a lie. it will deny it, but i know the truth. it says its not talking to glados, but i dont trust it. and it asked me all these questions about the lion king. people can not be devided up into timone and pumbas. overall a great device that i use to listen to npr and podcasts

this is a cool little thing, it recognizes anyone's voice at home. no need to train voice for different users, even house guess can ask anything and it will respond 99.5% accurately. love it with the home attached devices like smart plugs and lights. I love it so much that i have give one to each of my sisters for Christmas!!!

Echo dot is a smaller version of the Echo. It works great when she understands what you want. Weather, store hours, shopping list, wiki. She connects to radio stations by call letters or frequency most of the time. But there in no free music unless you go to the app and select a station from tune-in or iheart. Does not work with Spotify free version. Adding skills is hit or miss. Playing games can be fun. Not bad for a $40 purchase. Lots of fun and she's learning

I already had a 1st Gen Alexa in my home but I wanted one more since my first one can't hear me in some rooms in my house. I set up my dot in about 5 minutes and I plugged it in to some old PC speakers. This dot hears us better than Alexa. If you have a/some good speaker(s), go with this Amazon device. It is way cheaper.

We use Alexa almost every day and love it; especially the question of the day, playing music, placing Amazon orders

So far I like what my dot can do. I need a little more time to see how I can fully integrate and optimize it's use.

I have the echo dot in the bedroom and it is a great device. I use it to access music/ news/weather/ basic info also/ alarms/ jokes..I also have a portable bluetooth speaker to link it to if i want louder music. I have the full size Alexa in livingroom. Love it .there is so much it can do - i am happy with my purchase.

I've been watching this for a long time and decided to take the plunge. No buyer's remorse here. Alexa is a blast. So far I have been using it to listen to music, hear the news, answer questions, and hear jokes. Now I want to try using it to turn on some lights and do a little home automation. Everything is very easy to set up.

I bought as a gift but gave this a five star as I do have one and the price was awesome to givefoe a Christmas fift
