also have the larger echo. only real difference is quality of speaker, which is wanting on the dot but the other features are top-notch and definately worth the price for a bedroom, or other smaller room. nice item and would recommend it highly

Having the Echo dot has been great. I thought with the relatively low price this would be great to start our home automation experience since we already had the Nest thermostat. However all the accessory pieces such as plugs and switches are quite pricey. I paid $39 dollars for one plug just so we could get our nightstand lights to turn on and off.

Works great, doesn’t always hear me when I say Alexa. I’m an Apple person and got this to get me by till the home pod comes out.

I love it! Music, trivia, recipes, my shopping cart! My fiance thinks the government is listening to us. They probably are, and they are probably sick of hearing about our wedding planning. Fun little handy tool to have around the house!

Was on the fence about this until a colleague recommended it to me. I now have 3 and an echo plus. My family uses this every day. It is simple to set up and all the smart home features and gadgets are really cool

A smaller version than the original echo but does the same things.

I have a smart home and these Echo Dots make it so much more responsive turning on lights, turning the alarm off/on, looking at cameras, controlling switches, adjusting my Dyson Air Purifier. The list is endless and it if fun: jokes, status of Santa, weather, calendar events, setting timers for cooking - it is great.

Nothing beats an Amazon Echo Dot. It is way better at hearing than their normal Echo and the speaker is not too shabby considering the incredibly small size. Combine with Hue lights and other products and you have an instant smart home.

Bought this as a giveaway for a customer who said they love this. No personal experience with one but I’ve heard great things!

Bought two- Gave to my teenage daughter and 22 yr old son they both love it. They both had it hooked up to their phones in minutes. Easy to use and lots of fun playing around with it Christmas Day figuring out everything it can do.

We have several of these throughout the home now and it is so nice to set routines for them in the morning, play music, and use them as intercoms, and all the other things they can do. Only complaint is that the 2nd gen speakers are not as good as the 3rd gen but these still work well for bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.
