Love having Alexa in my home. I recommend this as a gift for yourself or anybody really. She is fun to play with and very useful for information and home automation. Best purchase i have made in a very long time

Amazon Alexa is helpful as a reliable alarm clock, an at home dJay when we want to hear music, and a comfort to have in numerous rooms in case of a fall and we have to reach out for help.

Purchased as a gift for Elderly parents and they are just amazed what they can do with it. They love asking questions and getting responses without having to get on a computer. They like Joke of the day!

I have several Echo's around the house. I like being able to ask questions and get a response without having to go to my iPad, Mac or iPhone. It is very helpful in adding to our shopping list, playing music, etc.

Already reviewed the white version to this, and since they're both the same I love them both.... Both very easy to use and control, just would recommend getting a bluetooth speaker if you plan on listening to music.

Nice to put in the kitchen, or bathroom if you want a little something to play music and quick questions to answer. Love that it'll leave messages of delivered products. Great price as well.

Have this in my office. Love the fact I can get answers to questions I need and to be able to drop in downstairs for someone instead of yelling to talk. Also nice to be able to play music.

I love our new Alexa! I purchased this for my mom for her birthday and she didn't know how to act! We was up til almost 2 a.m. playing with Alexa. She is an excellent addition to your network and your family!

I like this way better than googles version. The sound quality could be better, but hey it does the trick.

cant go wrong with the echo dot, connects to all my smart home stuff easy and all my speakers for playing music, the built in speaker is a little lacking but just BT it to a better speaker :)

The Echo dot is a fun and functional "gadget"! In addition to the functions of getting weather, news and your calendar events, you can play games, make shopping lists and listen to music. All with just your voice!

This was to add a 2nd unit on another floor, mostly to expand home automation control - lights, alarms, etc. Of course, also getting used for weather, spelling, etc. Easy to set up and works as expected.

Great starter to smart home technology. The Alexa voice recognition does not work. Anybody can control it.

Ok, so Alexa can't answer everything but so far I've asked the same questions to Siri and Alexa and get better answers from Alexa. Looking forward to growing my home automation system now. Volume is pretty lacking but that's to be expected. Great if you don't need to be loud or you plan to use external speakers.
