I got this for the living room so that I can pair it via Bluetooth to my reciever. Works great for music and other smart home automation. If you want better sound quality pair this with a Bluetooth speaker or go for the next model up.

This little disc is actually a powerful receiver that controls everything just like it’s big brother. Use it to ask Alexa to do task, play games, play music, just everything. Look up or google Alexa and see all the things she can do.

Fun addition to house. Can control all my Hue lights, my nest thermostats and ask the weather. Can use as intercom from one floor to another with Drop in and another dot. Stream music and bluetooth to a home theater system for great sound and variety. Load skills to tell jokes or play games. My one year old is even trying to say Alexa.

This is my second device and I also bought one for someone else. They are the perfect size, price, and work great. I have integrated it with my harmony home hub and Samsung smartthings. I love that I can say "add milk to the shopping list" and it is now a check off item on the app when at the grocery store. I also use the timer feature a lot when cooking. I have had several power outages when cooking that reset the timer on the microwave and oven. When I set the timer on the echo dot I can log into the app to see how much time left after and outage.

Wasn't sure I would use this, but I like it. Got it for conference calls at work and it picks up our conversation very well. Plays music and connects to Pandora. Fun to ask questions and easy to use. Doesn't always have an answer.

Thinking about jumping into a smart home? Buy this! It's Easy to setup. It's Inexpensive (especially on sale) You have place multiple throughout your home You really can't go wrong with this. The larger Echo is definitely a nice upgrade, but you can always add one of those into the mix later on after getting your feet wet.

I now have almost every type of Amazon Echo device, and love the Dot! It's small footprint and ability to seamlessly connect to my Bose Soundlink Mini gives me great sound...and all the capability to operate my smart home devices. My son got the newest Dot, and he loves it! He can turn on / off his bedroom light, listen to music, ask questions...some pretty silly. We can also "drop in" on our rooms upstairs and down...so no more shouting in the house. I can't wait for Dots to go on sale again...so I can buy a few more. Great value!

Great product, easy to set up, and so much more than a speaker. Using Alexa is almost addicting and it's easy to forget it's just a speaker. We find ourselves "thanking" her or apologizing when she can't understand a question.

The echo dot is a great buy. Got it on sale for 29.99!!! I gave one for a gift and purchased one for myself. It is small sleek and able to pair with my Bluetooth without any problems. I use it mostly for my amazon purchases.

I have several Alexa devices and this is just another piece to my home automation and being a prime member I get all my music as well. Decent sound quality on its own but better if plugged into a stereo or Bluetooth speaker

I love the fact that hears your voice for many different directions. I love the fact that it small. And I love the fact that every week it’s updating its technology and learning more and more and options to provide the user

The echo dot I bought was a gift for a friend. They loved it! Works with all of their home stuff like Nest, Dishnetwork, and Harmony Hub remotes. It makes voice commands so much easier than searching for the right remote.

This is my 3rd Dot and I have an Echo. I got this one to use at work for streaming music, weather updates, newspaper headlines, etc. I use the Dots at home to voice control all of my home automation devices. They all work great and I have not experienced any problems with them. They do what they say they do. Some reviews talk bad about the speaker quality. For a $30 device, the speaker is fine and the voice control options are great. It is plenty load for a bedroom or an office. If you need booming base, a volume that rattles windows, and/or a very high quality sound, you probably want a more expensive speaker. The mike also picks up voice well. The mike picks up my voice with no problems most of the time. Occasionally it misunderstands if the TV is very loud.

This an extension to my echo pluses. Have one Dot in master bedroom and one in master bath, listen to music, get answers control the lights and use it for my alarm clock. Although not quite perfect, I still love these!!

I already own an Amazon Echo and I am very pleased with the sound quality. When I saw the 2nd generation Dot, I was very apprehensive about whether I would get any decent sound from a speaker that small. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! The volume goes from level1 to 10 and gets pretty loud at 8. I had no trouble hearing it and it did not sound like a tin speaker. Actually, for verbal sound production, it sounded no different than my Echo. I tried music and again it was decent. It sounded just fine for a stand alone speaker at a moderate volume level: not as good as my Echo for music, however, it can connect to better stereo speakers if that is important to you. For verbal commands and feedback the speaker works amazingly well for such a small device. To sum it up, this device does everything the $180.00 Echo does at a fraction of the cost! I highly recommend it!

I bought this product for the in-laws. They were house sitting for us over the summer and I came home to Alexa on volume 10 and playing Foreigner. They were so amazed to tell it to play a song and it would do it. Or even a joke. Get one for your parents, but you’ll likely have to set it up for them in about 5 minutes

This is an excellent product for such a low price!! I use it for activating my smart home devices every time. Thanks to Alexa, switching on anything is fun and easy. My smart home products have expanded since brought home this device. The new drop-in feature helps me talk to kids from my basement instead of having to run up. The other features like voice search and ordering pizza or hailing uber is an added bonus. This is a perfect smart home device that does a lot more!! Do not give it a second thought.

This is a great little device, that can help you organize your life. The scheduler, reminder and alarms are a big help to everyday life. It works flawlessly with Pandora, Iheart Radio and Amazon Music. A must have!
