I love this thing and Alexa is now a new member of the family. About an hour after I set it up, which was very easy by the way, it took all of 2 minutes, I was ready to go all in on all the smart features it will work with. I purchased the Smart Things hub and now have smart Thermostats & plugs in my house to control things. I also already owned some things that work with it too like my smart TV'shad I was able to control as well. I like it so much that I have multiple now to use around my entire house and the family loves them too, especially my 6 year old who can now play her music from her own playlist from anywhere in the house.

I live all the Amazon products and the Dot is one of my favorites. Paired with Amazon Prime the product is compact and has great sound. Hard to beat for the price of less than $40

This thing is really great! It connects to my Sonos system and is easy to set up. I bought some for my folks who are a bit technologically skiddish and they love it. I use it everyday to wake me up, tell me the weather or set timers while cooking. I love being able to ask it things like "when does the Target near me close" and get a solid answer. Really awesome tech and Im happy I bought one!

I have had the Amazon echo in the kitchen for years. Decided to have the dot in my bedroom since I can have it wake me up, give me the weather and news before I get out of bed.

I love the Echo Dot! This speaker you can put in small or large spaces there is even a shelf you can buy to hang it on the floor. I put this speaker in my workout room to ask Alexa to play music, turn the TV on and off ( the TV is a over the air TV), ask about the weather, etc. I do use a TP-link smart plug for my Echo Dot. The Echo Dot is just a fun device to use. Also, you cannot beat the price.

Start falling in with smart things recently. I’ve got this one with my Bose speaker and got $35 off on my speaker. Very happy experience by using it with my hue bulbs as well.

I bought this on sale more as a toy but with curious intentions on actually being useful. I must say I love it. I bought a couple smart outlets to plug things into and it is nice to just tell Alexa to turn things on and off. The coolest thing, for us, is that we use it to play music to a bluetooth speaker and we can be making dinner or otherwise be busy and can just tell Alexa to play certain music, skip a song, turn volume up/down, etc and not have to drop everything, clean hands and find the phone. Way cool. Can even thumbs up/down on my Pandora account or Amazon Prime playlist. Worth the price just for these music features.

I really like this product. I use it to control music on Amazon Prime, control my Nest thermostat and to control my Phillips Hue lights. It works great with all these products.

I was interested in getting an Amazon Echo but on a budget. The Echo Dot is much less expensive. It has a much smaller speaker compared to the standard Echo so isn't as loud but is good enough for my needs. It's also nice to use as a Bluetooth speaker for my phone. I just say Alexa, turn on Bluetooth and I'm good to go. It's also interesting to get the emails with new features and things to try each week like the 7-Minute Workout skill.

Already have the 1st gen echo, got this for the bedroom, use it as alarm clock, and music. Works great, and for 29.99 doesn't really even cost more than a cheapo alarm clock.

I bought the echo dot for my grandfather and I so we could have more knowledge on what's happening in today's world and local news, what's the weather in our area, Etc. we also could settle debates by flipping a coin. For example if I wanted to go for pizza I'd say alexa heads or tails and it would pick heads so we'll go for pizza. Also the newest feature I could call anyone who has an echo or who has the amazon app. It's also great with math questions. I'm currently finishing up on my freshman year in college and it got me through all my finals and studying was a lot easier and less stressful. I could also check my ny Giants score and what's going on with the team. When summer comes I'll definitely be scheduling some cookouts and bbqs and some date nights with the girlfriend on the echo dot. It connects through the amazon app through apple and android and the app is free. The speakers are just as good as the bigger and much more expensive echo so theirs no need to spend 200 dollars when you could spend 50. Now if you have a decent size house say 3 plus bedrooms I would go with the bigger size or buy more echo dots but if you live in a one 2 bedroom apartment that's one floor theirs no need to buy the more expensive echo. If you have a blutooth speaker it will help big time with the speaker noise but not needed. By far it was the greatest and coolest thing I've bought in a long time. I am sure going to buy my grandmother one for Mother's Day and I know she'll love it. One more thing if your looking for a good laugh just say alexa tell me a joke and it'll tell you a joke. It's pretty freaking awesome!!

The Dot provides a lot of fun for a small price. My Dot pairs easily via Bluetooth to my ZVOX soundbar and streams music from various sources. Set up is a snap; practically automatic. It can also be attached to a stereo system by a cable cord, if Bluetooth is not available. You can also interact with the Dot using the Alexa app. I also have the Amazon Echo. The Dot is basically the Echo without the built in speaker. Highly recommended.

I didn't expect much from this voice activated device, but I was pleasantly surprised. It pairs with any Blutooth device which is great because the limited stock speaker is just enough. My kids love talking to Alexa and playing music. It's a fun voice activated device that really is cool. Plays music, tells you the news, what it is, sets timers and alarms and much more. I liked it so much I bought a second one for another room.

The Echo Dot is a great device because it is a very affordable and approachable gateway to a smart home. It is continually improved with additional skills and functionality.

I already have the echo and wanted to get the dot off my office and it fits perfectly for not takin up space. Sound is good but not better than the echo but still enjoyable.

The echo dot is perfect for around the house. I use it for quick weather and traffic updates. I also have it connected to a smart plug to control lights. Nice to use when on treadmill to connect to Spotify for quick music. Have four of them so far. Everyone once in a while you will have to re-boot her but its not a big deal. I would choose this over the larger echo because I have a bose bluetooth speaker paired with it. Sounds great.

The Echo Dot is an incredible device that I use everyday for entertainment and productivity. I use it to schedule reminders, stream music (for background white noise), as an external speaker for my bluetooth devices, simple things (like checking weather, top news, sports scores, jokes) or even getting random bits of trivia. I recently discovered that Alexa is quite the singer and she'll belt out a few songs for you too.

Thid is great for kids rooms and smaller areas. It works just as expected, schedules, alarms, music, great apps. It is a great value and a wonderful addition to your home.

Just amazing once you dive down the rabbit hole of what this little device can do. Pair it with other Smart Home devices such as Phillips Hue or Logitech Harmony and you will be controlling lights, TVs, and even door locks with your voice if you're so inclined. Even as a standalone product, its a great way to add Bluetooth and voice support to a home theater system. Enjoy this remarkable product from Amazon at a markedly low price.

Works pretty easy but I prefer the Amazon Echo over the Dot. The speakers seem to pick up your voice commands easier and quicker. If I was in a pinch I’d buy it but if I could wait I’d get the Amazon Echo. I have one of each and the Rcho just seems easier.
