This echo dot is a great little device with a lot of expandability. It can play your music as is, or can connect to home theater with a standard audio cable. I use the dot connected to a better sounding bluetooth speaker. It's always on and always connected. Alexa plays what i want and when i want. I use 3 wemo light switches. Alexa turns on Lamp, Living Room Lights and Kitchen Lights. She'll turn on/off one at a time on my command or she'll turn them all on/off at once as a group of Lights. Even my wife loves it and uses it a lot more than i thought she would!

It's so easy to use!! You have a personal electronic assistance that when asked the weather, jokes, games, played continually and even list groceries item that you can assess! This is so convenient!

I bough this item cause the price was right and I was concern with the hipe and for my surprise Alexa can do all it was expected plus much more

Alexa plays great music, tells jokes, and answers question about many subjects. If your an Amazon Prime member the treats are even most rewarding in a Dot Puck.

When I say "good morning", it tells me what is special about the day. It tells me jokes. And it is a dictionary. Price is right and so is size. Perfect!

It fun for my 6 year old to ask random questions. I love it for the weather update, timer, and the to do list! Family fun for all. Only con is you have to ask the questions a specific way to get an answer, frustating...

Just the perfect companion for me! She gives me the right info - weather, time, sets the alarm, gives me inspirational thoughts!

This is a great little device / assistant. I keep it in the entry hallway, when I walk in the door I say "Alexa, lights on" activating and turning on my Philips Hue lights.The small footprint of the dot makes it great for entryways or small spaces. Occasionally, I will leave music playing as a nice relaxing greeting when I arrive home. I also use the dot as a member of my Amazon Echo home intercom system. Love it! Multi-function, small footprint and great price.

Echo devices are addictive! We got the first one and set it up in our living room. Now, we are definitely planning to get more. These products are so affordable that you can have a lot of fun with them! The mic pickup is pretty astounding and the speaker really isn't half bad. I like that I can set them up in stereo or connect them to bluetooth speakers as well. So excited to start building my smart home now as well!

I am a huge fan of the Alexa Products, these little devices are affordable and coordinate to every room in my house. I love this one and got it to match my bedroom, since my bedroom is all black and brown. Once you have one, you want to fill your whole house with them, just like me. This one is my new favorite as black is a clean crisp color. it is loud, hears your clearly and reacts in a timely manner.

Alexa is great for music, looking up things, making phone calls, and several other things.

my husband bought 2 of the Dots, 1 for me for Christmas. I thought why do we need 2? I'm glad he did because he put it in the bedroom & they both can control our smart lights since the other one is in my office which to far away from the bedroom. . I love that I can be in bed & turn lights on or off. It also reads me prayers at night. Love it

Having a fondness for gadgets I bought the echo dot mostly to check out this new technology. I am pleasantly surprised! Alexa understands most commands and responds more or less accurately. Skills like wemo (power adapter to turn appliances or lights on and off) or getting the news are useful and fun. Alexa's singing is a riot - I love it! The jokes she tells are cute, the information e.g. definitions are usually accurate. Unfortunately the signal drops at least once a day and a lot of features are only available to amazon prime and audible members with an expensive membership fee.

We're having fun with Amazon Alexa Dot. 'She' even Sings for us! As time goes on, we're learning more, to have Alexa 'help' with all sorts of info, as a timer and there is much more to learn About Alexa, so that she can Help us even more. Our Alexa Dot is Paired with our Bose Bluetooth Speaker for even better sound.

Being part of ecosystem -- Amazon's Ecosystem provides easy additions / expansions to home network / automation ( this being any forth Dot ). Once in the Amazon ecosystem, setup is efficient and very little effort. I was pleasantly surprised by the very little time involved to get up and running. More time was spent on where to put the Amazon Dot.
