The sound quality vs the regular echo dot is non-comparable. The sound comes out nice and clean and has a level of bass keeping your music well balanced and enjoyable. The mic on it hears my wake up command better than my other Alexa devices as well. I recommend this to anyone who wants a Alexa device to enjoy tunes while keeping their smart devices in order. It would be great for your audio books and podcasts too. Over all it’s a great versatile device and highly satisfied with my purchase.

While the Echo Dot Max does not include a built-in Wi-Fi extender, Amazon's eero devices integrate seamlessly with Alexa and may be worth exploring if expanded Wi-Fi coverage is a priority for you.
