If you have amazon devices in your home this is one awesome tool. I brought this and the motion sensor attachment that works with it and when I walk in the house it turns on lights in designated areas for at least 5mins. I also have one in the bedroom so when I get up at night it turns on the bathroom light for 4mins. This is just the coolest little gadget a must have.

I hated having to run wires to my dot and having to take up counter space. even purchased adapters to plug directly into the kitchen counter sockets but was not pretty. this solved my needs. something simple and out of the way but provided me with alexa assistant where ever i had a wall socket! got it on sale. great value and didn't need to cut holes in walls for custom installations like many people did.

This was a no brainer. On sale and a $10 coupon, at that price a super product. Only negative, which I already knew is the speaker on this model is not designed for music. It will play music just a little tinny. But you can connect your own speaker if your looking for that functionality. Otherwise works like every other Echo. I have every Echo model and they all function as advertised.

This small Echo product works well with my current devices. It plugs in directly to the outlet and can be used in any area of your house. I currently purchased two, have on in my garage, and one inside my front porch. They only drawback is that the sound is kind of low in large areas like the garage, but it still serves its purpose.

For the price of 9.99 you cannot beat it. The flex is meant to be an access point to Alexa to control things with in places where an Echo Dot is just too much for the location. I put one in the garage to let me turn the various lights on in the garage without having to flip any switches which are located inside the house. This is handy when I enter the garage through the big garage door. Before, I had to walk through the dark to get to the light switches. The sound output is not very loud which is the only bad thing about it but this is not really meant for listen to music and such. It is meant only to just give you short responses like the time, temp or alarms and such. If I want to listen to music etc. I just bring out a bluetooth speaker paired with the flex and I am good to go. Another places I put the flex are in small bathrooms, hallways and even in the kitchen though an Echo Dot would likely be better in the kitchen for most people. The flex has a niche purpose and it fills this niche very well. When you want Alexa control of lights and such in places that putting an Echo Dot or more just does not make sense... use the flex. I would not use the flex outside of these niche places it is meant for.

I bought three of these when they were on sale, they are awesome!!!! I can't believe they've been around for more than a year and I'm just learning of them now. My kids love 'em. They each have one of them in their rooms. My only regret is that I wish I had bought more Lol. I'm waiting for them to go on sale again so I can buy 2 more. Great product!

The Flex is more responsive to requests and commands than all of the other echos I have. The sound quality of its speakers is what you would expect, rather flat and weak, but not terrible. I have mine hooked up to an external speaker and the sound is crisp, clear and loud. The aesthetics leave something to be desired, but if that’s not important, this is a solid buy.

I will leave this short and sweet: It's an Alexa speaker that belongs in a kitchen or a bathroom. The speaker is large enough to deliver an okay sound; don't expect deep bass. Overall it is a nice addition to my bathroom, and it is just loud enough for me to hear it while the shower is running.

It arrived on time. The speaker does not have a good sound for a blue tooth speaker. The unit gets pretty warm to the touch. It plays music from time to time from Amazon music on its own without an operator request. When the volume is set to high Alexa cannot hear your request such as turn down volume.

This Amazon Flex Smart Speaker is in my bathroom. It has a night light (sold seperately) that is voice controlled. The speaker isn't very clear or loud enough for the room I have it in. Difficult to hear clearly while showering, but I still can connect other speakers for better sound. And being 1st gen, it will improve with time and I will be interested in the next best model but this will do for now.

Simply put, an amazing (additional) Echo product. I don't think you should use it as a primary Echo device, but connected to a bluetooth speaker is where this product really shines. The internal Flex speaker is very tiny, but once paired with another speaker and you have a perfect setup. Highly recommended for the price!

My wife and I put this in our bathroom. Since it functions similarly to other Echo products, we can set Routines with it, ask the time, set timers, ask for the weather, and so much more! Extremely convenient, saves space, and makes life easier when getting ready in the morning. Speaker isn’t great quality for music, but it does the job!

I read the reviews before I purchased. I love that it doesn't have a cord, and it works great in my bathroom (space saver). I can hear it in the shower, but don't expect it to be more than background music. I knew what to expect and am pleased with the purchase. Like everyone else, I wish it was a little louder, but overall am satisfied.

A great alexa device for the garage. The sound is of course not that great but better than nothing while in the garage. It disconnected once from my wifi, but my router is inside the house and there is a thick wall between the house and the garage. Reconnecting is a breeze. It does what I intended to do with it. It was a good purchase especially for $9.99.

Fantastic deal at $9.99. The only reason i knocked 1 star off is because I don’t think the microphone is sensitive enough. Not sure if this is true for all Echo Flex devices or if mine is defective. I knew the speaker is not great from my research prior to purchase, but I did not expect the microphone to produce choppy audio when I drop in on this device.

Works good for other rooms when you're too far away from Alexa... It does everything your echo dot will do.. Only drawback is the speaker isn't very good when it comes to music... Very handy item for me since I have a family room downstairs and I am too far away from Alexa to control my smart devices.. This little thing controls my downstairs just like Alexa would...

This is a great addition to the Alexa family! I put the Flex in my bathroom. It’s great having Alexa in the bathroom with me telling me the news while I’m doing my hair or putting on my make up. It’s also great for kids bathroom when you need to announce for them to hurry up and finish getting ready for school; virtual or in-person.
