I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Amazon Echo Show 5 (3rd generation), and I must say it's an impressive smart display that offers a range of features in a compact size.
First and foremost, the display quality of the Echo Show 5 is excellent. The 5.5-inch screen delivers vibrant colors and sharp details, making it perfect for watching videos, checking the weather, or even video calling. Despite its smaller size, the display remains clear and easy to read from various angles.
The audio performance of the Echo Show 5 is surprisingly robust. The built-in speakers produce clear and well-balanced sound, whether I was listening to music, watching videos, or engaging in voice conversations. It's perfect for enjoying my favorite music streaming services or even using it as a smart alarm clock in the bedroom.
One of the standout features of the Echo Show 5 is its integration with Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant. The voice control capabilities are excellent, allowing me to perform a variety of tasks with simple voice commands. I could ask Alexa to play music, provide weather updates, set reminders, control compatible smart home devices, and much more. The voice recognition was accurate, and the response time was quick and seamless.
The design of the Echo Show 5 is sleek and modern, making it a stylish addition to any room. Its compact size makes it easy to place on a bedside table, kitchen counter, or desk without taking up much space. The adjustable stand allows for flexibility in positioning the display at a comfortable viewing angle.
I found the privacy features of the Echo Show 5 to be commendable. The device comes with a physical camera shutter and a microphone mute button, providing reassurance and control over privacy concerns. When not in use, I could easily cover the camera and mute the microphone with a simple touch.
The Echo Show 5's compatibility with a wide range of smart home devices is another major advantage. I could use it to control my smart lights, thermostats, security cameras, and more, all from one central hub. The seamless integration made managing my smart home a breeze.
Overall, I highly recommend the Amazon Echo Show 5 (3rd generation). Its impressive display, quality audio, intuitive voice control, sleek design, privacy features, and smart home compatibility make it a versatile and valuable addition to any household. Whether you're looking for a smart alarm clock, entertainment hub, or virtual assistant, the Echo Show 5 delivers on all fronts.

Love this! Has great sound and it’s hardly takes up space. I have one at home and at the office as I can see what’s going on at home straight at any given time.

Purchased this to work in conjunction with the ring camera. My mom is 80 and helps her get a better view of who is outside her door. And plays her music and helps her make visual on screen lists for shopping etc.

"I absolutely love my Echo Show 5 (3rd Generation). The features are outstanding, and the Alexa calling feature has been a game-changer for me. It seamlessly integrates into my daily routine, making everything so much easier. The screen is just the right size, and the sound quality is superb.
The only thing I wish it had is YouTube integration. Other than that, it's an exceptional smart display that's perfect for anyone looking to enhance their smart home experience."

Echo Show 5 is a great little device that easily fits in any location in my home. Setup was quick and simple. Most settings were easy to figure out but for some I watched YouTube videos (e.g., how to connect Ring doorbell). The sound is amazing, which makes it great for streaming movies while cooking.

“I have been using the Amazon Alexa Echo for a while now, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. The voice recognition is incredibly accurate, and it understands even complex commands without a hitch. The sound quality is impressive, delivering crisp and clear audio for music, podcasts, and more.
What I love most is its versatility. I can control my smart home devices, set reminders, play games, and even get weather updates with just my voice. It has become an integral part of my daily routine, making life more convenient and enjoyable.

Really like the addition of alexa to the house. Setup is super easy. My only issue is the cord come right out of the back and it is just an awkward placement.

Perfect for our lifestyle. As a busy household we can have easy access to information without grabbing a computer or phone to look things up. Hands full? No problem. Washing dishes? Not an issue. We listen to podcasts, videos, music and keep working. They are low profile so they dont interfere with decor. Kids can contact me through them when I am at work and their phones were taken for punishment. They can contact friends or family by speaker if they really want contact. Its perfect. People mention loss of privacy as our data is out there in the universe. I guess at this point in parenting, have chosen the easy access to communicate with kids; spying ability, if I'm so inclined; and easy access to news, music and other info. My littlest uses one as a personal TV when his brothers hog the others.

Nice size, love that I can flip the camera to cover it. It's also cute that I can upload my own photos for it to show. Although I'm not a fan of ads that pop up but what do you do they're everywhere!
Has come in much more handy than I thought that it would!

Cost Savings: The biggest win is definitely the money I save. Parking downtown used to cost a fortune, plus gas and maintenance on my car. My monthly pass is a great value, and the pre-tax commuter benefits program my employer offers helps even more.
Productivity & Relaxation: Not having to drive in rush hour traffic is amazing. I use the time on the train to mentally prepare for my day, catch up on emails, or watch a downloaded show on Netflix, which creates a good boundary between home and work life.
Staff: Most of the station staff and conductors are really friendly and helpful, which makes the morning hustle a bit more pleasant.

This was easily one of the simplest and best transactions. The purchase and product pick-up were fluid, and everything went according to plan.
The Amazon - Echo Show w/Alexa helps me while I am baking; setting a timer, recipe solutions to substitutions and alternatives. Alexa is my little helper in the kitchen.

The Amazon Echo Show 5 is praised as a great compact smart display, ideal for nightstands or small spaces, offering useful Alexa features like timers, smart home control, video calls, and news, with improved sound and a sleeker design in the latest version, but its small screen isn't great for video content.

I love this little Alexa. It does have a camera on it if you want to talk face-to-face. It also has a sliding camera cover so you don’t feel your privacy is invaded when not using the camera. The speaker system is great for playing songs.
Easy set up. Manages my light system.

Bought 2, a bit confusing on setup compared to the echo dot. My son had the echo dot (2nd gen) I thought he would have more use out of this one, but he hates the camera feature and covers it up; I have not used the picture display aspect. the second one I have yet to setup still. I think the Dot (3rd gen) which I have in my room currently and have not swapped out works just fine still. Giving my mom the other to see if she will have more use for it and the other features instead of one of the dots she has currently.

We really enjoyed this in the beginning, but noticed after about six months that it got harder for Alexa to work and get her to pick up our voices. Our Internet connection is strong and I moved it out more in the open, but we still have a hard time getting her to hear us and pick up to make announcements and sometimes when we ask to make an announcement, it freezes.
