I have been having issues with this echo freezing up... I ask for something and the blue voice bar lights but Alexa does not respond. My old echo dot worked much more dependably than this show... very disappointed

Good addition to the bedroom without full time camera

Display. The first thing is it's small. It sets 6-8 feet away and unless its displaying the time the info is hard to read. However it's cool that it displays photos. Sound. This is the biggest disappointment. The sound quality is poor. The bass distorts at less than half volume. Its fine if all you want is low background noise.

These are small and a little buggy with navigation. Only ok with bundled promo, otherwise wouldn’t pay full retail ever for these. Fine for small photo album and Alexa clock.

Got as part of a great/cheap offer. Hard to use, no HOME screen, and bulky for being so small. In order to use, you pretty much have to already know what to tell it.

I like the concept and the screen is a nice but compared to the echo dots the mic doesn’t seem to work as well and can be frustrating talking to Alexa.

Problems with alarm program. It's been resetting my alarms & saying no alarms set. It's getting worse, having to set an alarm every 2-3 weeks, twice in one week sometimes. The other problem is when you hit (display off) or tell Alexa to turn display off it randomly turns back on. I left feedback but that doesn't work. There's more problems but these are my main ones.

Not very good of a tool would not commend to friends or family the technological is not there

I purchase 3 none work so Amazon is sending replacements. Hopefully they will.

I bought this to use as a bedside clock and to control my lifhts.I also have the Echo Show 2 and the original Echo and 2 Dots so you can say that I am a fan of Alexa. The Echo Show 5 was very easy to install on my wi-fi and I think it is my favorite so far. It is small and easy to look at. I think I like it better than the larger Show, especially for the bedroom. I find that I prefer an Echo with a screen and this one is the perfect size at the right price point.

This is just what I was hoping Amazon would make! Small enough for a nightstand, big enough to not have to squint to read it! Good sound, shows enough on the screen without being too blank, or over crowded. The camera cover hides others from seeing you if you desire, and also allows video calls if you want. I have used the Fire 8HD tablet with the Show Dock, it was OK, but lacked good sound. The Fire 10HD was about the same, but the Echo Show 5 brings it all together in a nice package (for me anyway). I would buy the stand for it was well as it holds the Echo Show 5 at a nice angle to read what's on the screen. I pasted the link to it toward the bottom of this review.
