I’ve been using the new Echo Spot for a little while now, and it has quickly become my favorite part of my nightstand. As someone who works late shifts, having a reliable and easy-to-use alarm clock is a must, and this one really hits the mark. What I Like: The Display: The screen is vibrant and clear, but not distracting. I love that I can see the weather and song titles at a glance without it feeling like a giant tablet is glowing in my face while I try to sleep. Sound Quality: For such a small device, the sound is surprisingly "big." It’s perfect for listening to a podcast or some relaxing music while winding down. No Camera: I actually prefer that this model doesn't have a camera. It makes me feel much more comfortable having it in the bedroom. Customization: It was really fun picking out a clock face and color that matched my room’s vibe. Things to Consider: It’s definitely designed as a "smart alarm clock" rather than a full smart display. I recently purchased the new Echo Spot (2024 version) and I’m very pleased with it. Right out of the box, it impresses with its modern, compact, and elegant design—perfect for a nightstand, desk, or any small space in the home.

My little Alexa clock is awesome. It shows the weather you can see it on there. It’s perfect. You can change it. I just love it. There’s nothing about it. I don’t love my daughter. Got at me for for Mother’s Day and it’s perfect.

I bought this to replace an old alarm clock, and it is a massive upgrade. The design is sleek and modern, and the "Black" finish fits perfectly in my bedroom. I love that it doesn't have a camera (great for privacy) but still has a sharp display for the time, weather, and album art. The sound is surprisingly vibrant for such a small device, much better than the older Dots. Alexa is super responsive, and setting alarms by voice is a game changer. Highly recommend it if you want a smart clock without the distractions of a full screen.

This thing has been great. it is primarily used as an alarm clock. it has a good sound to it and doubles as a bluetooth speaker while still remaining inconspicuous.

Bought this to serve as an alarm clock and it's super convenient. I'm able to snooze by talking to it, it does everything that an echo dot would do. Sound quality OK - loud enough to wake me up. Display adds just enough functionality. Who cares if Alexa is listening to me snore!

... but nonetheless very suitable for my use. I wanted a viewer for a specific room. So for that purpose, it does it well. As a side note to consider, I was used to the 360 degree blue ring on an Echo when I call, see it from any angle. The spot has the same blue acknowledgement, but only facing forward, so you won't know if its listening or not from the side or rear. Its good for corners of the room. I'd still buy another if the application calls for it. Very good product.

The echo spot replaced my very old clock radio. I love how the display changes between day and night so it's easy to read all the time and isn't very bright at night. It sets alarms for you at your request, plays music/radio, is smaller in size and fits my nightstand and life perfectly. Love It!

works great in the basement and 3rd floor. would like to be able to use the app to drop in but it stopped working. alexa is still able to drop in on a room but you need to do it thru the echo spot. weather app is nice and the clock display is cool. not much to choose from however. i do wish the screen was a little bigger so i can see it better at night or when im waking up.

The look and feel of this echo is nice. I love being able to wake up and just see the time. The screen is small but good enough. Would recommend it as a bedroom Alexa. The sound is not loud but again it is good enough. I got it while on sale.

Our family loves the Amazon Echo and the Alexa feature. They are so useful from setting alarms, using our smart home lights, or reminding us of events or meetings. Our echo's have definitely helped in keeping our home aligned with day-to-day tasks and processes

This was bought as a Smart Hub and Alarm Clock for our teenage son. He loves it. It is linked to our WiFi, it’s voice controlled, and has White Noise options as well as Clock/Alarm Display options. He LOVES it, and we love the functionality and ease of use. If you are familiar with Amazon devices, you can easily use this and link it to your Amazon account, which then can link it to your WiFi network, etc.

You can see the daily weather on the clock display. You can ask Alexa to set your alarm all week for the same time. The numbers are large enough too see from a distance. Great color choices. The sound of the speakers are pretty good too.

What I like: Ease of setup. Can control lights and ask about the weather, etc. Good quality sound for such a small device. What I don’t like: Can’t set the clock numerals to red. Even the ‘night time’ numerals, which are supposed to be red, are actually more orange, and the entire background is lit up, slightly, instead of really being black. In other words, the display is pretty cheap looking. If the power goes out, some times it doesn’t re-connect to wifi when the power comes back on. Wonder what would happen if I have an alarm set. Selections of clock face are mostly lame. Amazon, give some more clock face selections, and make one of them ‘real red’. Adaptive brightness doesn’t work very well. They need to make this better, and maybe even make it adjustable. Overall it’s a pretty good device for the price, but there’s sure room for improvement.

Updated Echo Spot. I wanted Smart Speaker with a clock and this fit the need. I already had the original Echo Spot, but 5his updated one is a little bigger, very nice clock display and great sound.
