When I wanted to get my husband a smart alarm clock, I chose the Amazon Echo Spot. I selected the black color because it blends into the background while still having a clear, sharp display. He really enjoys the clock and regularly asks it for the time, weather and any questions, as well as using it as an alarm clock. While I think my Google mini is smarter on the questions, I can't fault the Echo Spot since it does everything else so well. It even greets him by name when he asks the time in the morning. But, I can't be jealous of a clock, or should I. lol All in all, I highly recommend this smart alarm clock.

I owned a few Echo Dots and Echo Shows and each serves a different purpose around my house. I was looking for an Echo product that would be small but stylish in my home office and the Echo Spot surely met that requirement. I also purchased the stand which is a must have to bring out that stylish look. As expected, the Echo Spot was very easy to set up and Alexa was already working after about 5 minutes. I would recommend the Echo Spot to anyone looking for a small smart speaker that doubles as a desk clock and can facetime with others.

We purchased an Echo Dot for my mom on Christmas and she loves it. After seeing advertisements for the newer Echo Spot, we thought it would be a great addition as well as a wonderful Mother's Day gift. She absolutely loves it. Of course I was tasked to set it up, but it was very simple to set up (easier than the spot. The touch screen display helps). Whether it's telling Alexa good morning or asking Alexa to set an alarm, or controlling smart home devices, the Echo Spot is a great tool for entertainment and convenience. It's perfect for those who enjoy a smaller device and the convenience of a display (video calling other Amazon Alexa and Echo users is amazing as well). No matter the age, no matter how technologically savvy one may be, no matter the interests, it's great for anyone, and that's something that can rarely be said about anything these days.

This is device is everything great about Alexa with a small nice screen. I have it in a dash cubby of my truck. If you have WiFi in your car it makes a great travel companion. It would also work great as a bedside assistant. I really like that as it plays music, the words are displayed. You can connect the aux port to your car radio, or any other speaker system. If I forget my phone I can make calls directly with my Amazon account on it. You can also make video calls with the front facing camera.

I bought two Echo Spots; one for the kitchen and one for the bedroom. In the kitchen, I love how I can call up cooking videos when my hands are wet or busy chopping veggies. In the bedroom, it's an awesome clock/radio. It's just the right size, fully programable, plays lots of music or news programs, and let's me drop-in on the "kitchen spot" to see if the coffee's ready! Even though they're small, they sound really good! I also have an Echo and Echo Plus. Between them all, the house is filled with music!

the perfect gift, that my grand kids can work with . My grand children can now talk and see us when ever they want to. All they have to say is Alexia, call Bay and Gigi. And we can do the same, plus this little gardget, can do so much more, like turn off and on a light, play music, tell you what the weather is outside. Wake you up in the morning if you wish, even tell you a joke, it is fun and amazing for everyone on the family.

Got rid of a clock and an echo dot and allows more room on my nightstand. Too pricy but I enjoy it. It sounds better than the dot and I like being able to see stuff. A lot of people don't seem to take the time to learn what it can do and how to use it judging by the complaints I read at Amazon reviews. Anyway I'm very happy with it myself, it just should cost less, but they have already started to discount it.

Being used as an alarm clock and it has been working rather well. If the power goes out it knows the time when it comes back on. It also displays the the current weather and plays music And does all the other Alexa functions. It was a bit expensive compared to Other echo products but takes up very little room on the night stand.

I bought the Echo Spot to replace my alarm clock on my nightstand. It works well for that purpose. You really aren't going to purchase this to watch TV, movies, or any videos for that matter because of the unorthodox round screen. It's easy to set up alarms and to use to control your home's smart devices. It really is an intermediate step up from the echo dot. If you really want to use a screen on your smart speaker the Echo Show is the better way to go. The second generation version has a huge 10 inch screen.

Compact design and shape allows for integration anywhere in the home. Display screen large enough to be useful, yet small enough to blend in it's surroundings. Built in speaker adequate for voice commands and responses. Can be paired with an existing sound system to take full advantage of it's streaming capabilities.

We are currently slowly converting our home to a smart home. And we have the Echo Dots around the house. And use this Echo Spot in our bedroom. Use it for music, video chatting. Dropping in. Intercom and so much more. We ask Alexa to control lights etc. At night we love playing relaxing rain sounds. We interact so much with Alexa that we want the Echo show now.

I love the echo spot. It adds so much convenience to my life. It is great for playing different styles of music that maybe I haven't downloaded and looking things up for me when my hands are tied. It is also convenient to send a message even if my phone isn't nearby, so long as my message goes to someone with the Alexa app.

I bought the Show 2nd Gen, a Spot, and This. My steps to getting into one of the smart controlled technologies. I don't have this set up with a Phillips Hue system (With Hue Bridge) yet, but so far this is amazing. I purchased the stand and a screen protector off Amazon, and they just add to this. I have this set on my nightstand and use it like an expensive alarm clock. I can upload any picture to my background, and it's fully customizable. One thing I get a kick out of is if I'm out at a grocery store and remember I need to wake up early, I can set my alarm right then and there from the store and it's there at home. It gives me a little redundancy for when I throw my phone at the wall to shut up at 5am. Aside from that, the audio isn't amazing for music, but it's available. It works well fro calls to other Alexa devices, even the Alexa app on the phone. I find the longer I own this, the more it's integrating into my lifestyle and it's nice to actually see that happening and this not being a one time didn't need purchase. I totally swear by this thing now, probably my favorite Alexa device.

I did jot regret for selling my google home mini for this! The best thing about this item is it serves as your music player (thru my pandora), alarm clock and your bedside clock perse. It also has the capability to connect to your bluetooth speaker for added sounds and has an aux port so your can connect to external speakers.

Once you own an Alexa you can’t live without it. I love getting the weather the news with just asking her. You can come home and say play music and your favorite music will be playing. Having friends over and playing Jeopardy is also fun. There are so many skills that I am going to explore, I can’t wait

Love this small, stylish new echo spot clock with a small screen. Set up my tv, light inside my bedroom, and set up alarm with my favorite song. It’s great investment but I think the price should be a little bit lower than what it is. I would highly recommend everyone to get one of this for their room.

This was a birthday gift for me. It's a fun alarm clock. I enjoy being able to connect it to my Ring doorbell. Also, it's fun to be able to voice command Alexa to play music right away when I wakeup. She is also programmed to give nightly encouragement when I say goodnight to her.

I bought these for my brother as a housewarming gift since his new home has Alexa smart features. He seems to like the simplicity of it and how he can easily play music and use it for simple functions. It also serves as a decent alarm clock and basic organizer when programmed correctly.

Very customizable as an alarm clock with different faces and alarms. You can simply say "wake me up at 6am during the week" and you are all set. Once you're awake you can check the weather, news, and your calendar for the day. You can also go to sleep with music or other ambient sounds.

I love it! Use it as an alarm clock. Wake up with music. Set it up to give you a briefing on what’s happening, from the local paper, people magazine the weather and a long list of possibilities. And if any of these show this as videos you can watch them on the screen, which is crystal clear.
