I just finished setting up my new Echo Studio. It has amazing sound for a relatively small footprint. You can tailor it to a particular type of room and surroundings from numerous canned, preprogrammed environments allowing the speaker to tune itself for the type of room environment it is in. I then played a few tracks from Amazon Music. Sounded good. I then remembered you can further tune to your taste via a 3 band EQ in the Alexa App. Now, I love the full rich sound it provides with just the right amount of bass and treble to suit my taste. This is a good piece of engineering. A little pricey but overall I think it is worth it for the quality of build and performance.

Straight and to the point- whether you have an Apple TV, watch , Mac book, iPad, iPhone or all of them, the Apple hub gen 2 will either be next level or a major piece to the Apple ecosystem. This hub isn’t and shouldn’t be compared to other smart speakers, as this isn’t an apples to oranges review. This is apple to apple and If you’re in the ecosystem, it’s a must have. Great sound, cool features, small but mighty, and looks fantastic.

Pros:
The Echo Studio is by far the best sounding Echo on the market. It does exactly what it advertises and fills the room with rich and dynamic sound. The Atmos worked amazing well for a single standalone unit.
Cons:
The Echo will frequently drop connection when paired with another device (particularly with an optical cable). It can’t truly mute the input without just muting the Studio’s overall volume.
The Studio has terrible audio lag. No matter how much I adjust my TV’s sync, I couldn’t get the Studio closer than .5 seconds off. Neither the firmware nor the Alexa App give any options for audio sync from the Studio.
The microphone array operated much poorly than any other echo product in the house.
Overall, it is well worth the money if you are going to use it as a typical echo. If you are looking to integrate it into a TV set up, I would go with a dedicated soundbar/Sub combo. The syncing and connectivity headaches are not worth it,

If you want great quality sound for music then this is a great choice but if you’re looking to replace your sound bar on your tv then you’ll be disappointed.
Normal Alexa activities are awesome and sounds great! Bass is huge and highs are clear.
Definitely fun for casually listening on the weekends.
If you connect it to your tv it will work via Bluetooth but sounds like an average speaker. Very low quality sound even when you turn up the volume.
If you connect via mini optical cable then the sound is just as big and amazing but it will randomly cut off. The echo will become unresponsive and overall becomes an endless cycle of restart/reset with no fix in sight.
In short amazing speaker for music and Alexa actions but very buggy if you’re connecting it to a TV.

This speaker is great. I got it on sale for $155 and it is well worth the price Even at its full price. This thing could be $400 and I wold still buy it. My friend had the black one, and I liked it so much I was about to buy one until I saw amazon was making a new one update one and wow is this amazing. My $450 speaker is twice the size of the studio and the sound on the studio way better. The base will shake my room even at 10% volume. This is a must buy for sound.

I bought my Wife an Echo Studio and I loved it so much I bought myself one. The sound is fantastic for both music and especially movies. I also bought the subwoofer during the pandemic and my family didn't miss going to the theater.
The only negative is that the setup can be a little bit of a pain. The app isn't 100% intuitive, but in about 15 minutes I figured it out. I've had it for about a year now and an app update forced me to do the setup twice more. No big deal.
They are loud and clear. I was leery of having an Alexa device sitting around and listening, but now it is part of the family. My kids love to tell it to play fancy dinner music. They play games on it as well. Overall I'm extremely satisfied by this purchase and the other 2 as well.

I actually bought this as a gift for my best friend but only after I tested one myself. The use case is to connect to a 4K firestick plugged into a 4K television in order to hear Dolby Atmos or HD sound playing from the Echo Studio.
Just like in the demo videos, once you set it up and watch the promo video, you hear everything. Searching and playing Dolby Atmos 4K movies yields just a few freebies but sounded really nice. So a good substitute for a sound bar which does 5.1 better but I did not want to spring for a sound bar if the Echo Studio could do double duty as a home theater sound device and as an audio device.
I can't play it higher than level 6 or my neighbors will complain. It is loud, clear, and fun at high volumes. So a perfect gift for my friend to play with and enjoy.

A tremendous upgrade over my Echo Plus! Much larger than the Echo Plus so it really can't be hidden from view as easily but it is attractive. Like the Echo Plus it functions as a hub and readily managed my previous Echo devices. I was disappointed that it would not pair with my Echo Plus (for a stereo experience) without creating groups. This will be my third purchase of this device as I'm upgrading from my former Echo devices which still work beautifully. I'm glad I chose this over buying the Subwoofer option. Very rich sound. I cannot comment on the Dolby Atmos or HD Music experience because I will not be pursuing those features. Purchased two from Best Buy and a 3rd from that "other" place all around the Black Friday time frame. So prices were $50 less than normal.

I need a speaker for our new home gym. I didn’t want to go through the trouble of installing speakers in the ceiling and we use Alexa all throughout the house. This was an easy thing to try so I did. I was surprised at how loud it actually was. It’s not super Bass heavy but I didn’t expect it to be given its size. We also have a TV in there that we will Bluetooth to the speaker to watch movies while working out. All in all, I’m rather impressed.

Great speaker with amazing sound in a small package. Easy to set up and use. I also have two HomePods to compare. I find the Echo is smarter unit.

This is the best smart speaker and BY FAR, the best Echo.
When considering sound, this should be compared to the HomePod or Sonos Play:3, (not Sonos One). Sonos One is comparable by price only, not in sound.
Apple had the best "sounding" smart speaker... until I heard the Echo Studio. As other reviewers have mentioned, it has a wide sound stage, handles mids and highs nicely and provides nice bass. It sounds nice with all genres of music.
I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my second studio so I can pair them with my sub and FireTV 4K to use a soundbar.

Work well as a stereo pair. Good range of sound set up was not very straightforward but i got there in the end.
Set up a stereo pair for the tv by first Using a firecube tv and settings and set them up as a home
theater rather than creating a group in the app on the phone.
If you want to use for a Playstation you need the fire cube and that has to be plugged into the tv by the HDMI ARC. Then managed devices through the cube menu.

Upgraded from an echo dot. Obviously a tremendous sound difference. Setup was easy and being able to use Alexa commands makes it a great choice.

absolutely incredible. If you want to get one you better get it quick there’s not much of an inventory out there people are sucking his up like free ice cream. It’s very obvious a lot of thought went into The development of the speaker when you own one and listen to it you’ll understand 100% very customer centric product and the construction isimpeccable.

The Echo studio is that one speaker for every situation. First off it does have base. It doesn’t have that booming base but it sound really good. Also you can amplify that base depending on were you place the speaker. When you first turn it on, it goes through a test mode to check the sound in the room. That was really cool. Also if you have a Fire Tv stick or cube, you can connect this speaker to it through WiFi and hear the sound when watching TV. It sound way better than a sound bar. I want to get another one so I can pair them together but my wife will kill me. Maybe I can talk her into it.(Lol) I think that the sound really fills the room and it’s really amazing. We really love it.
