Incredible subwoofer for your Echo Plus!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent subwoofer for your Echo Plus! Deep bass with an equalizer! Set-up and pairing was easy. Took me about 10 minutes! The only thing though was the delay in shipping. Because I live on Guam—a US Territory—-it usually takes just 5-7 days to get here. But due to the coronavirus lockdown worldwide, it didn’t get here till one month later! Future orders will not be done until normalcy resumes.

Elevates Alexa Audio Quality to a Higher Plane!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazon Echo Subwoofer is an amazing performer. My primary use is to play music on demand. The best combination is a set of 3 speakers: 2) Echo Plus and 1) Echo Sub. This combination produces the perfect balance of high frequencies, accurate midrange and excellent bass. Add this combination of 3 speakers in each of your favorite rooms and direct Alexa to “Play ... (song) on the Everywhere Group!”... since bass is non directional, it adds for each subwoofer in your house. The sound quality throughout your house is truly amazing and gets better with every new group of 3 devices you add!! See attached photos that show various Echo Subwoofers in use. You can hide the sub under a desk, place it behind furniture or even locate it in a closet. The bass quality will amaze you. The photos show wires because I hid the subs from sight and the strong bass appears to source from the 2) Echo Plus in each room. That is why the photos show wires; each sub is hidden behind furniture. If you use only one Echo or Echo Plus you will need to lower the subwoofer bass level through the Amazon Alexa App because the default sub output is balanced with 2) Echo Plus speakers (not one) and the bass will overpower the high frequencies and mid frequencies from one Echo or Echo Plus. Rock On!!

Great speakers set up via app disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speakers self adjusting to room acoustics in great room with cathedral ceilings are great. Balancing audio with traditional soeakers almost impossible. Tech support w amazon terrible. Tech did not know to resolve. Got geek squad out and took them almost an hour to set up. Sound awesome. No more echo chamber effect.

Great addition to your Amazon Echo stereo setup!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just the perfect low frequency addition for my pair of Amazon Echo Studio speakers! Easy setup (make sure you unpair any paired speakers before you add the sub to your desired speaker pair). The only real improvement they could make is to give you a more complete equalizer menu, versus just bass, midrange, and treble.

Nice addition to my Echo Studios
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added this to my 2 Echo Studio setup as the bass wasn't quite up to the task. The Echo Sub added a fullness to my setup that wasn't there before. I use my Echo setup for a home entertainment system in conjunction with a Fire TV cube. The Dolby Atmos does work pretty well and all in all, it's a pretty nice setup. The Sub was a big help in the lower frequency department. Cons: Amazon MUST put in a software fix that allows the Sub volume to be controlled independently of the Studios.

A must for Echo Show 8
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I installed a new Echo Show 8 in our living room to facilitate viewing our Blink cameras it became clear the Show was not going to provide the quality of music we enjoyed with our Riva Concert smart speaker. The answer was to move the Riva to another room and pair an Echo Sub with the Echo Show. The quality is still not quite as good as the Riva but much improved over the Show by itself. The Echo Sub can be boomy so I had to set the equalizer on the Show to the following: Base -2/Midrange +2/Treble +1 to achieve a decent, fairly balanced, sound. Setup was a breeze and the new paired units have been grouped with other Echo devices for multiple room/floor listening.

Sounds good
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds good, setup was easy, and haven't had any connectivity issues...lately. Initially there was an intermittent lag between the sub and the main unit. I think there was a firmware update that fixed this issue.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Echo Sub to add to my paired Echo Dot 3s in my bedroom which sounded far better than I thought could be possible and created a nice wife soundstage while remaining sneakily inconspicuous. Once I figured out that I needed to break the pair and remove the Dots from my speaker groups using the Amazon Alexa app, I was able to pair them together with Echo Sub and rebuild my speaker groups. I didn't find any considerations for this case in the instructions, so this was frustrating. But once they were all paired up, I sat on my bed and listened for hours trying every genre of music and all my favorite artists! Adding a second Dot added dimension, and then adding Sub really woke up the sound! The sound mixing is great, really gives a premium quality to it! And it's nice to still be able to interface with Alexa on my primary Dot (set different wake words for each Dot) without getting responses through all paired speakers. Also glad Alexa won't try to wake me up by sending the alarm tone through Echo Sub! Sound levels this pairing can achieve are well beyond than what I need in the bedroom; it won't ever leave you with your ears bleeding, but if you swipe too hard on the volume slider, it'll leave you wide eyed and hoping the neighbors aren't asleep. Overall, exceeded my expectations!

Affordable sub with some decent lows....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is good for what it is. It’s an easy to pair, Basic looking subwoofer that delivers decent lows when accompanied with the Echo Studio. I will be adding a second Echo Studio very soon to give the bedroom an even fuller sound. I use this mostly for soundscapes for meditation and relaxation but on occasion we play some hip hop, some country and rock. It handles all genres nicely. The harder punchier bass sounds a bit distorted at higher volumes. This is due to the way the Bass and Treble are set up through Alexa. The sub and the Studio share settings. I believe it would be better if The settings for sound were separate, but this speaker is a nice addition to any small to medium sized room. I recommend!

Worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds great and adds a lot of bass to my echo show 10. Highly recommended if you want to have the echo show instead of a non display model and have the same or similar sound as the studio.

Real Enhancement for Echo's !
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two echo's connected in the living room and listen to Sirius Radio quite frequently. Sound was lacking something. Got the Echo Sub and wall-ah! Music got a big boost and the base was substantially enhanced. I am very pleased with my purchase and Best Buy had the best price on sale. Would recommend this upgrade for music listening.

Great sound from echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t have any issues connecting it to my echo that others have reported. It has great sound. I was actually surprised how much bass comes from this thing. Makes music sound great. I’ve only tried it with Amazon Music as that’s the only music streaming service I really use. Only things I do not like is that you can’t connect it to two different echos. I have the 1st gen show in my living room and the 2nd gen show in my kitchen. I have it set up to play downstairs audio group. Well now the one in the kitchen doesn’t play when I use the audio group downstairs because it’s a different model echo. They have to be the same model. One other issue I have now is you can’t say “ Alexa stop” to stop playing music. I don’t know what’s causing that. Hopefully they fix the issue with a software update. You have to swipe on the screen and manually stop the music.

Use it in my home office. Of course does not match Sonos home theater setup in living room but it’s decent for office and fraction of price
