Amazon Echo Subwoofer is an amazing performer. My primary use is to play music on demand. The best combination is a set of 3 speakers: 2) Echo Plus and 1) Echo Sub. This combination produces the perfect balance of high frequencies, accurate midrange and excellent bass. Add this combination of 3 speakers in each of your favorite rooms and direct Alexa to “Play ... (song) on the Everywhere Group!”... since bass is non directional, it adds for each subwoofer in your house. The sound quality throughout your house is truly amazing and gets better with every new group of 3 devices you add!! See attached photos that show various Echo Subwoofers in use. You can hide the sub under a desk, place it behind furniture or even locate it in a closet. The bass quality will amaze you. The photos show wires because I hid the subs from sight and the strong bass appears to source from the 2) Echo Plus in each room. That is why the photos show wires; each sub is hidden behind furniture. If you use only one Echo or Echo Plus you will need to lower the subwoofer bass level through the Amazon Alexa App because the default sub output is balanced with 2) Echo Plus speakers (not one) and the bass will overpower the high frequencies and mid frequencies from one Echo or Echo Plus. This is an excellent subwoofer for your Echo Plus! Deep bass with an equalizer! Set-up and pairing was easy. Took me about 10 minutes! The only thing though was the delay in shipping. Because I live on Guam—a US Territory—-it usually takes just 5-7 days to get here. But due to the coronavirus lockdown worldwide, it didn’t get here till one month later! Future orders will not be done until normalcy resumes.

The subwoofer is excellent. The sound quality is impressive, and the price is reasonable. The only drawback lies in the configuration with Alexa, which proved to be quite difficult. I spent over an hour attempting to set it up and had to delete and restart the process four or five times before it finally worked. I own more than 30 smart devices in my home, and this is the first time I have encountered such a challenging setup.

If you are expecting this to turn your Echo Dot into an audiophile level sound system you are dreaming. However, the sub does a great job of adding some punch to smaller Echo devices. I have one of these paired with an Echo Show 8 in my room and another one paired with an Echo Show 21 in my front room. As stated it won't satisy an audiophile, but it greatly improves the small speakers.

The sound is good for what it is. It’s an easy to pair, Basic looking subwoofer that delivers decent lows when accompanied with the Echo Studio. I will be adding a second Echo Studio very soon to give the bedroom an even fuller sound. I use this mostly for soundscapes for meditation and relaxation but on occasion we play some hip hop, some country and rock. It handles all genres nicely. The harder punchier bass sounds a bit distorted at higher volumes. This is due to the way the Bass and Treble are set up through Alexa. The sub and the Studio share settings. I believe it would be better if The settings for sound were separate, but this speaker is a nice addition to any small to medium sized room. I recommend!

Great sound and ease of placement! Big sound for a small unit! If only it would stay available and go on sale occasionally!!!

Sounds good, setup was easy, and haven't had any connectivity issues...lately. Initially there was an intermittent lag between the sub and the main unit. I think there was a firmware update that fixed this issue.

As an Echo fan, I'm completely happy with the sound quality for a device of this nature. You can definitely hear the stereo action, but I'm not sure it's worth it in a small room. Here's why, when you pair two new Echo Plus and the Sub, there is a definite problem with the response time. First, Echo gets confused on which should respond since there are two in the same proximity. Second, there is a delay in responding, sometimes ignoring my command (lower volume) completely. Hopefully, there is a software update that will solve the issues.

This subwoofer really surprised me! It is loud and the bass is rich, full, and deep. It’s a little bigger than a bowling ball and definitely worth the price! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for great sound at a great price!!

When I installed a new Echo Show 8 in our living room to facilitate viewing our Blink cameras it became clear the Show was not going to provide the quality of music we enjoyed with our Riva Concert smart speaker. The answer was to move the Riva to another room and pair an Echo Sub with the Echo Show. The quality is still not quite as good as the Riva but much improved over the Show by itself. The Echo Sub can be boomy so I had to set the equalizer on the Show to the following: Base -2/Midrange +2/Treble +1 to achieve a decent, fairly balanced, sound. Setup was a breeze and the new paired units have been grouped with other Echo devices for multiple room/floor listening.

Very impressed with the deep bass in my 2.1 setup, I have two Amazon Echo’s 2nd Gen connected to the Echo Sub. Playing Amazon Music sounds awesome, rich highs & nice deep bass. Bluetooth, unfortunately falls flat, it actually sounds worse than when just paired to one Echo. So when you create a stereo Sub Pair the Echo’s are split to left & right & the Bluetooth connection then is in mono on only 1 Echo & no sub. I contacted Amazon & they stated this is a known issue, only the listed streaming stations will work for stereo sound from a Stereo Sub Pair. The agent said he would escalate the issue to the development team.

When paired with the Echo Studio it's phenomenal. Fills entire room with sounds that come from everywhere So powerful I had to turn bass below zero setting Hard to believe such a speaker this size can rival twice the price units

I have this attached to (2) 2nd Gen Echo Plus speakers for a 2.1 sound system in our master bedroom. It would very well and I do like it. The sub itself adds the low end the Echos can't deliver. That being said, it is what it is. This system won't rattle the walls. :) It did add quite a lot to the sound quality for music however and I am happy with it.

I was using a set of echo 4's but wanted better sound. So I added a set of echo studio's. But to get that extra boom in the base I added in an echo sub. With the 5 speakers working together I'm getting great sound.

It plays bass notes. Can be plugged in anywhere n connected to your Alexa device wirelessly. It works, but looks like Amazon is discontinuing it. Listed as unknown when it might be back in stock there.

I have to say that I’m quite impressed with this sub. I also have the Sonos sub and while the Sonos sub has more power, the echo sub sounds really impressive. The lows that come out of it are surprisingly good for such a small unit. I have it paired with two echo studios and the fire cube and it sounds very nice! I consider myself pretty knowledgeable as far as tech goes, but I had some difficulty connecting it to the two studios. I finally succeeded, but it took several attempts. Again, very nice sound for such a small unit.

Love the sound, wish could connect to more devices at once.

If you have the Echo Studio speaker, this really ups the sound quality. Thinking of adding a 2nd Studio speaker
