We got this just before Christmas and have really enjoyed having it. My 7 year old loves playing 20 questions, asking random questions and checking the weather. We do have many of our lights throughout the house where Alexa will control them as well as the Nest thermostat. The music selection is pretty expansive with just what comes with Prime, but we may upgrade the music. Liked it so much we bought two dots for the bedrooms and have them hooked up to speakers. Alexa isn't perfect, but neither is Siri. Overall it's been a great purchase for our family.

Love this! So easy to use and great for music or to get a quick question answered. Can't wait to get it set up all the way to control lights, etc.

Great mini portable smart stereo for a beginner! Sitting in my hot tub listening to free Pandora. Alexa controls my Hue Go lighting. Also portable. Can’t wait to get the Hue Bloom for the back porch too. These are my relaxation toys to wind down with on the back porch at the end of a long day. I also use Alexa in the house. She controls lighting in the bedrooms and kitchen and I’m increasingly learning more about her. She gives me my daily flash briefing of the news. She answers questions like who sang that song and so on. Lots of FUN!

I knew about this from its crowd funding start and wish I had jumped on board then. This is an excellent platform to start home automation and the entertainment value is a welcome bonus! Even my 88 year old mother-in-law can use it! The sound quality is great and the listening range is amazing. I can tell Alexa to turn off a connected light upstairs from upstairs. Note, it does not work with Google Play yet. I have hope that it will in the future.

I purchased the Echo for my husband as an early Christmas present. He loved it! We used it all during the holiday season to play holiday music. We use it every morning to check the weather. We also bought a smart plug and use the Echo to turn on our table lamp as we walk in the door in the evenings. We compete against each other in Jeopardy every day - he usually wins! As a result of my experience with the Echo, I bought 4 more for Christmas gifts and my enthusiasm for the Echo resulted it one being under many of my friends' families Christmas trees!

The Amazon Echo is simply awesome. It plays music of your choice. It will tell you about the weather, give traffic updates, tell you jokes. Even tell you about planets. If you have an Amazon stick or tv. It will change channels or even pull up the shows you watch. You can even ask to turn on lights or change their colors and if you have ADT Pulse, you can arm/disarm your system. Amazon Echo is always learning. I don't know what I would do without her... Yeah it's a her and her name is Alexa. Once you have one... you will understand.

Bought this for a relative at christmas...I was hooked...plays any song I can think of..does math..reads Bible...orders pizza..and turns on lights..I have it connected to my nest thermostat..great gadget that works for you

Fun product with a lot you can do with it if you choose.

Alexa is the future. If you get a harmony elite remote you can control your Tv by voice. You can also control your hue bulbs. What a great toy!

Good sound, easy set up. This little speaker is so fun to use. It is great for me as I have Prime Music, although other music apps work just as well.

I love Alexa it's fun to use and so convenience. I use it as a timer when I'm cooking. Ask it to play music. Even my kids like it. Great product!

Wife and kids love this thing.plays music with great sound also you can find out about most any with going to my iPhone or iPad. Very convenient

I love the echo! It has great sound. And it hears my commands around the house. It's easy to use. The set up took some time but overall it's great!

Alexa is a practical tool for weather, spelling help, calendar reminders, etc. It is also a lot of fun for finding information and playing music!

The Amazon Echo is beautifully designed and Alexa is very helpful and fun to use. I find myself surprised to what she knows some times. What I do not like about the Echo is that at higher volumes Alexa will not respond. I sometimes have to yell for her to hear me. Sometimes even yelling super loud will not get her attention. Amazon needs to come out with an update to fix this issue. If the Amazon Echo cannot handle voice commands at high volumes then it should not have been built with such high volume. It's annoying having to compete with Alexa's voice or the music. Sometimes I even have to go physically turn down or turn off the music because Alexa cannot hear me to respond. If this issue was fixed then the product would be amazing.

One of the coolest pieces of tech I own !! Playing music on command is just one fun feature of the Amazon Echo, it is capable of so much more.
